The beach is beautiful and relaxing. There are free chairs (we found some in the shade). Walking along the boardwalk is great access to snorkeling. Even without getting in, I saw several beautiful fish. Some live music at the bars, volleyball court and playground. A little bit of shopping. But my family just got off in the morning, enjoyed playing... More

The beach here is absolutely stunning with a great view of the cruise ships. Can be crowded if there is more than one ship in port. The 8 beach cabanas for rent are a great way to enjoy this beach without the crowds. Book early because they go fast. The cabanas have their own private beach as well as a... More

I visited Roatan as a stop on a Carnival Cruise line with my parents, brother and teenage niece and nephew. The shuttle took us to the beach where it poured rain however, we decided on a beachfront lunch with an incredible view. The people were all wonderful and the untouched lush scenery was beautiful. I will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful peaceful beach within walking distance of the port for cruise ships. There are free beach chairs and attendants will bring food and drinks. Palm trees provide some shade. There are showers and lockers and beach equipment rentals for a fee. The water is crystal clear with no current and safe for young children. A walk further... More

I have never been to Mahogany Bay. I did not think I was going to be a fan of this place, since there are a lot of people, due to the Cruise Ships. I usually stay on the West side of the Island. I have been coming to Roatan, since before cruise ships came to the island, almost every day.... More

Beautiful tourist attraction walking distance from the Pier! If you want to swim, sun tanned, dance, sports, drink, dance, water sports, hike, shop, etc., Mahogany Beach has it all. The locals were humble, hardworking and friendly. I wish I'd could explore Roatán per se (aka leaving the "tourist bubble"), but this place has it all! Have fun!!!

We were there on a cruise and although I really wanted to like this place, the diesel fumes in the air, and the obvious sheen of diesel fuel on top of the water was damned awful. The swimming beach is protected by an oil boom, so I reckon they are quite aware of this problem. However, snorkeling off the pier... More

This would have been a great place on a sunny day but it turned out ok on a rainy day. We rented a cabana for the 4 of us (actually had 3 cabanas for our group). We waited on the ship for the rain to stop and then headed out. They were so nice to give us 3 cabanas next... More

I love riding the sky chairs to the beach. Not the most beautiful beach in the world, but it is a great value.

I only got to spend about 40 minutes at the beach on this trip, but the water was cool, clear and refreshing. The sand was nice and clean, and the time I made it there it was not too crowded, so I really enjoyed it.
