This was our second visit to Manawakie. We were met on time at the port by the driver who did a great job driving us around the city. We did the atv tour which lasted about 45 minutes. We did have one break down near the end. We rode through a village and had a great view of the ocean during the trip. Views you just don’t get anywhere. Once at the park we got to see and interact with the animals. We have gotten to personally know William, the owner, and he has done a great job with the park. This is a family run business and I highly recommend them.

Today will be the third day we have spent with William who has customized each day for our specific needs/desires.
He has been a wealth of information, driving us all over the island pointing out and explaining everything as we go making sure to stop for plenty photo ops. We couldn’t have asked for a more personable, concerned guide to make our adventure memorable and enjoyable.

Our tour guide took us to the location because he knew it was off the path were the cruise ships go and we would have time to enjoy our visit. He was right. We were also able to learn about the plants on the island as well as some of the history.

Our family enjoyed visiting this park for Spring Break. We loved the monkeys and the sloths. Our guide told us about history of Honduras. He also told us how they use natural resources to make medicine. The monkeys were awesome especially the ones in training.

We are staying on the island and went by ourselves. It cost $20 pp walking up. We were lucky to beat the cruise ship crowds and had the place to ourselves. It was really a photo op experience. We enjoyed it but it is what it is. I wouldn’t say they are a sanctuary as they are breeding the animals themselves with a few being currently pregnant. They seemed happy and healthy but it’s far from a natural environment for them. If you want a cool picture with some animals you would never normally touch it’s fine for that. I think we spent about 30 minutes and did it all. It helped to be the only people there and didn’t have to wait for other guests. Enjoy if you want to have some cool pics but realize it is what it is.

Definitely some of the best experiences on the island! Our tour guide William was on time, very helpful and friendly. The ATV tour was a blast, the mangroves were beautiful, the zip line was super exciting, and the Eco Park was fun and informative. We liked the way they explained about aspects of island culture. Highly recommend Manawakie and especially William!

Pkg #6. We went through mangroves
Sightseeing & the park with our guide Michelle.
She is a local with lots of knowledge!
She picked us up from our beach house & brought us back.
The food is also delicious at the park!

Kevin and Michelle were awesome park hosts. Michelle shared island knowledge in a fun and interesting manner. Kevin shared a great deal of time with the sloths. Truly an amazing experience. I would recommend this tour time and again!

We visited here with Charlie's Roatan Tours and it was the highlight of our cruise. It is obvious that the animals are well loved. Our guide, Orie, was great! We learned so much about the island and animals. The animal handlers were very helpful and took lots of pictures for us. We will come here again if we ever get the chance to visit this beautiful island!

Visited this park as part of an island tour with Roatan Fun Tours. The hosts were very friendly and informative and we loved our visits. We got to spend lots of time with the whitefaced monkies and the sloths. We learned lots and got some great pictures. Definitely a highlight of the trip :).
