We booked a kayak & snorkel excursion for our port in Roatan on a recent cruise. This was our first excursion to book outside of the cruise line so I was a bit nervous in doing so, but Barb was very prompt to reply to my questions via email. My husband, two adult daughters and I were picked up outside... More

My partner and I were visiting Roatan via cruise ship and did not want to do a snorkeling tour with the masses. We booked Upachaya and right from the start Barbara was great to deal with. We had no trouble finding our driver at the cruise ship dock and the ride across the island went smooth. Barbara was there to... More

I booked the pontoon snorkel excursion and it was great! We were met just outside the cruise dock area by a guide with an Upachaya sign and walked a couple block to his home where we boarded a van for transport to the resort. When we arrived at the resort we met the owner Barbara who showed us around the... More

We had a wonderful time snorkeling through Upachaya. We were on a Holland America cruise and did not want to fight the crowds to snorkel. We were thrilled with this independent trip. Barb was exceptionally responsive to our emails. It was easy to find our way to our driver, just outside the Mahogany Bay gates. He was waiting for us.... More

While staying on the island, we took this tour on a day with many cruise ships in port. I got exactly what I was looking for on a day that West Bay Beach was crowded with cruise ship visitors. Barbara, the owner, answered all our questions promptly via email and we booked the tour the night before. I was happy... More

This was a great excursion away from the crowds of the cruise ship sponsored excursions. We were picked up promptly and our driver was polite and friendly. It was a quick ride over to our destination. At Upachaya, Barbara gave us tour of the grounds as we made our way down to the Kayaks. There we boarded and were led... More

We were on a Celebrity cruise and picked this tour based on Trip Advisor recommendations. Don't be put off by cruise ship warnings about leaving the port area on your own. Its just a short 5 minute walk up the hill and you are met with your driver. We then drove about 2 minutes to the Eco resort and chatted... More

This was my second visit to Upachaya, and I highly recommend it! My husband and I first visited in October 2015 while on a Carnival cruise. We did the kayak and snorkel tour, and it ended up being our favorite excursion of the cruise. I inadvertently left my snorkel gear in the taxi/van as we went back to the port,... More

We were so pleased that Barbara was able to accommodate our group of four on short notice. Paddling through the mangroves and out to the reef was much more interesting than open water paddling alone would have been. Our guide was good at pacing the trip to our group's needs. We wished she would have had more information to share... More

Me and my wife had Upachaya tour in the first days of November 2016. It was in the switch seasons time, so we got exclusive tour that day - only 2 of us! We liked all about the tour - the place, the kayaking experience in mangroves, excellent snorkeling place with 6-pales starfishes, the food! I would especially mark the... More
