There are a few interesting buildings around the Plaza, and it's always busy with people. Not much to do here.

Walk around. Be away of your wallet. Many people - locals and turists meet there. Place to stay for coffe or just sit in park.

Not much to be done, but if you are in this area nice seeing. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. In the evening there are some street food vendors with interesting food choices.

It’s not super exciting, but it is worth going to see. Lots of people in the evening. It feels authentic. You can feed the birds. Lots of restaurants within walking distance so couple it with a meal.

Quetzaltenango has a large student population. Compared to Antigua, this city is much more authentic.

Well, if you are already in Quetzaltenango it's worth taking a walk to the Central Plaza. Sunday is the best day because traffic and congestion are about 50% less. Be careful at curbs and remember when crossing streets in Xela that drivers do not care...More

It is a bit noisy and dirty. But a lot more clean than the average Guatemalan city. When there are markets, there is a lot of good street food
