Very small collection
Dec 2019
The collection is devoted to the history of Lake Atitlan. Especially important are the geology of the area and the volcanic creations and the people who lived here.

Very cool relief map of lake and other interesting information.

It's a small place in a little village on the lake. Don't get your expectations too high. It has some cool pottery from the area and other information about the region and history. I enjoyed the visit.

This museum is tiny, but it's worth the visit if you're interested in artifacts from the Lake Atitlan area.

Enjoyable Visit

This is a small museum, but I enjoyed learning more about the specific history of Lake Atitlan, it's geology and the people who've lived there for years. It was worth the hour I spent there.

Don’t miss to visit this museum, it adds mystery to your visit to lake Attlan. I helped do the second part of the museum wth the murals ceiling and floor, It is small but worth 5 stars.

Interesting visit
May 2017 • Solo
I went there pretty early in the morning, so I had it all for myself. It is not a very large museum, I could go through it in 1h reading every single piece of information. It is very interesting to understand how Lake Atitlan was formed and how the people around it evolved. There is also a room reserved for the National Geographic Documentary about the lost city found deep in the Lake. However, they could improve their storytelling because it is a bit confusing and the explanations seem a bit loose.
