The guide, Pedro, was really knowledgeable and kind. I enjoyed listening to anecdotes and interesting historical facts that he knew about the region. The boat ride was incredibly fun and the lake was gorgeous. I highly recommend this guide- if possible but either way definitely take the tour!

TThere is no good time planning and less in high season. We paid for hotel pickup at 6:30 am and arrived in panajachel at 11:30 am with a 10 minute stop at the viewpoint. We did not know panajachel places. We got on the boat for 30 minutes one way to Santiago, 20 minutes to visit Mochimon and 1 hour for lunch. There is no early lunch management and the service took 30 minutes. The guide did not allow us to go see the local market while lunch was ready and when we finished lunch we only had 15 minutes to see the local market in Santiago. After 30 minutes back by boat to Panajachel, we got on the bus and another 5 hours by bus. neither panajachel nor Santiago is known early departure should be scheduled to avoid road traffic jams. It must be taken into account that the tourist wants to know the places not just spend 10 hours on a bus. In the end I saw a preference for tourists that was very unpleasant. We are picked up last at the hotel and therefore, and as happens in all tours, whoever is picked up last is left first. Although our hotel was on the road, they did not drop us off first as they had picked us up last at the beginning of the day. They prioritized other tourists with more distant hotels perhaps because of the tip. This, despite the fact that the guide had been asked to leave us first because of the ease of the route and because another agency picked us up to go to Tikal at 8 pm and because of the traffic we were on time I do not recommend this agency or this tour

Awesome day trip to Tikal! Roundtrip flights on the same day (50 min flight each way) and got picked up at hotel right on time at 4:30am. BTW, domestic flights in Guatemala has no liquid limits on carryon as there's nothing other than sitting area and bathrooms after security at GUA (as well as in Flores Airport). Greeted at Flores Airport and the driver and the tour guide, Aquilino, took us to the site with two stops: first showing the model of the entire Tikal site (what it used to look like) and second on a quick stop for a view of the lake. We spent about 5 hours checking out the temples and palaces in Tikal, and we had a delicious lunch (included, but not tips and drinks) at the site as well. Aquilino, our tour guide, is very friendly and knowledgeable about Mayan history and culture. He also points out the wildlife in Tikal, where we saw monkeys, wild turkeys, etc. He also arranged for a quick stop at Flores Island since we have some extra time before our flights back to GUA for a beautiful sunset. Overall, everything went smoothly and on schedule. HIghly recommended!

We were fortunate to have Carmen as our Tour Guide. She was professional, palpably passionate about Mayan culture and possessed a wealth of Guatemalan historical knowledge. Throughout our day together, she demonstrated helpfulness, patience, and generosity toward us. Her personal stories and anecdotes truly illuminated our experience. We were blessed to witness several Mayan ancestral ceremonies behind the ruins in real time with her guidance of respectful observation. The Antigua afternoon was relaxed and fun with cacao tastings and a mini Jade tour, in addition to shopping, gelato, cathedrals and more historical tidbits. We highly recommend this tour and suggest you specifically request Carmen as your Guide. You will be grateful that you did.

Booked at the last minute and they were able to accommodate me. I was traveling alone and wasn’t sure of the road conditions, etc. It was just me and the guide, Davis, in a sedan with him driving. Ended up being perfect. Davis was great — informative but not over the top — and I saw more than I would have doing it alone. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the Mayan sites around the Guatemala-Honduras border.
