I went there to fish. Actually I went there to fish for Permit. I "accidentally" caught a five pound bonefish but that's not why I was there and it cost me a chance at one of the additional two Permit. Yogi Martin, a first cousin to the Garbutt brothers was my guide and we had a great time. I had... More

We stayed for three nights on lime Kay, we were lucky to have Ray as our guide and he took us to some great spots for fishing and snorkelling. A word of warning , the accommodation is really basic, there is fly screen on only one side, the others are just open slats, if you like polyester sheets, great! The... More

I went out to the Snake and Sappodila cayes for a day of fishing. I caught bone fish, king mackerel, barracuda, jack and snapper. Great fishing and fun.

A trip out to Lime Caye was an expensive journey 39 miles out to the reef. We thought we were getting two full days - instead it was less than 24 hours. At Lime Caye they turned off the electricity at night so we couldn't have fans going. The trip out in the little "Penga" was not too bad but... More

Having fished all over the world I can say that as a group the Garbitts are hands down the best guides I have ever fished with. The are knowledgeable, friendly and super patient-- you won't be disappointed!

Great guides, hard working, patient and enthusiastic. Fly fishing for permit is challenging and difficult but the guides found permit and several were caught.

Our all-day snorkeling and scuba excursion with Garbutt's was one of the highlights of our trip to Belize. Garbutt-family-owned Lime Key is gorgeous, and the food is fantastic. :)

We showed up in PG for a 3 week stay without a place to stay, and got so lucky when we found Garbutt's! The grounds are very well kept, all of the staff is fantastic (Lawrence, the night guard, is one of the best guys in PG!), and the family is a great resource for anything you want to do... More
