Dennis Garbutt makes you feel right at home. A master at hospitality. Miles of unspoiled saltwater flats and coral reefs at your disposal thanks to friendly guides in spotless boats. This part of friendly Belize is a joy to experience. Chance for a grand slam is very real here. Check out the fabulous rental rooms at marina as well as... More

I went out to the Snake and Sappodila cayes for a day of fishing. I caught bone fish, king mackerel, barracuda, jack and snapper. Great fishing and fun.

A trip out to Lime Caye was an expensive journey 39 miles out to the reef. We thought we were getting two full days - instead it was less than 24 hours. At Lime Caye they turned off the electricity at night so we couldn't have fans going. The trip out in the little "Penga" was not too bad but... More

Having fished all over the world I can say that as a group the Garbitts are hands down the best guides I have ever fished with. The are knowledgeable, friendly and super patient-- you won't be disappointed!

Great guides, hard working, patient and enthusiastic. Fly fishing for permit is challenging and difficult but the guides found permit and several were caught.

Our all-day snorkeling and scuba excursion with Garbutt's was one of the highlights of our trip to Belize. Garbutt-family-owned Lime Key is gorgeous, and the food is fantastic. :)

We showed up in PG for a 3 week stay without a place to stay, and got so lucky when we found Garbutt's! The grounds are very well kept, all of the staff is fantastic (Lawrence, the night guard, is one of the best guys in PG!), and the family is a great resource for anything you want to do... More

George. We love George - what can we say, he absolutely made our day for us. PG was doom and gloom skies during our stay but he made our outing fantastic and when the sun came out for a few hours, he dropped everything we were doing and got us in the water to see the gorgeousness of Snake Cayes.... After arriving in Belize, I learned that September/October is not low season, but CLOSED season. The further south I traveled into the country, the more difficult it was to find available tours and open facilities. By the time I arrived at Punta Gorda, I was frustrated and feeling stuck in Belize. And that is how I arrived at Garbutt's Fishing... More

I make a near annual trek to southern Belize, mostly for the diving but also to explore the country, see the sights and get to know the people. I spent a few days in Punta Gorda a couple of years ago and just happened to stumble across Garbutt's as I wanted to check out the dive flag I saw posted... More
