This is a shorter pyramid than the other taller Mayan Ruins, but is very interesting with extensive grounds and many interesting structures. The tour guides had an impressive command of the history of the site and the many artifacts. The tour starts at a small,...More

We took this tour through Norwegian Cruise Lines and were thrilled with the experience. We took a ferry from Harvest Cay (about 15 minutes), then we boarded a bus for about 50 minutes up into the mountainous region to the site. This place lacks magnificent...More

This place was amazing, yes it is much smaller then other ruins in Belize but the stelae are beautiful and intricately carved. The stories behind them are wonderful. The ball court is smaller but beautiful. All the trails are well kept. There is a great...More

Nim Li Punit was a wonderful find for our family--we didn't realize there was a Mayan ruin so close to Placencia (it's maybe a couple hours drive). We were lucky to get a informal tour of the current dig site from a USD grad student....More

We traveled here from Placencia area, taking about 1.5 hours by car, with 7 people (3 adults and 4 kids). Very accessible ruins and really spread out. One point gives a beautiful view over the area beyond the ruins and over the canopy.

Stunning place. One of those where you realize and feel sorry for unfair history process, where I clearly understand that I travel not to escape life, but for MY life not escape Me.

Even though this is a relatively small Mayan archaeological site, it has many fascinating things to see. Especially the large stone stelas that are from the site. We had an outside guide (Alejandro) who was hired by our birding tour-guide, but the signage in the...More

It was a boat ride then a bus ride to get there, but so great to visit this authentic site in Belize. We explored the small museum with some incredible stelae before walking through the ruins with an awesome tour guide. You get to enjoy...More

My husband and I did this excursion while on a cruise through the Eastern Caribbean and loved it. The bus ride was about 90 minutes from the dock but the tour guide Nate made the ride very enjoyable by giving fun facts about the island...More

Some ruins are so massaged they have lost the natural or just discovered look. At Nim Li Punit the ruins are just the way they were discovered. It was about a one hour bus ride from the cruise port so it ended up being a...More

We were on an Oceania tour but as they are owned by NCL I assume they use the same local tour company. There was no food stop but it isn't a full day tour (I think it was about 4 hours in total) so were back in time to eat... More
