My girlfriend and I visited Lamanai with Lamanai Eco Tours, and it was a wonderful experience. The boat ride through the jungle was a great way to start and end the trip. Junior, our boat captain and guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and made the trip very worth the time. Due to the COVID pandemic, there were only 6 of us on the tour, so it was almost a personal experience. We had the Lamanai site to ourselves. Very cool things to see. Would absolutely recommend this company.

We had a great visit to Lamanai with Dominicio/Junior (March 2021). There were six of us on the tour - and we had the entire river journey and archeological site to ourselves, which felt like a bittersweet gift of these crazy pandemic times. Junior was very knowledgeable and a wonderful ambassador for the area, its history, and for Belize in general. Safety/COVID protocols were followed as necessary (but were not onerous), and we felt extremely safe from a health perspective (there was *no one* else there, plus everything is outside with unlimited space/air around you). The ruins themselves were amazing, and we were very grateful to have had this experience!

Best tour, and tour guide from our recent travels to Belize. Our tour guide and boat caption Jr. Dionisio was well educated on the Mayan history and current culture. He was happy to to share his knowledge and answer any questions we had. He was passionate about his work and made the tour great. The single best highlight of my vacation.

Donicio was a great guide! It was amazing how many plants and animals he could spot as we were cruising along the river. We would be zipping along in the speed boat and he would suddenly stop the boat to point out something that was hard enough to see even when we weren't moving and pulled up right in front of it. We saw several green iguanas, orange iguanas, turtles, bats, howler monkeys, lots of different species of birds, and lots of different plant species that Donicio was able to tell us about. When we got to Lamanai, we were the only people there! (perhaps the one good thing about COVID). My wife and I had a private day touring the ruins without any crowds or other people besides us and our tour guide. We got to climb to the top of all the ruins and enjoy magnificent views while learning about the sites from our guide. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belize.

This is THE BEST Way to experience Belize & our guide, Alberto Roberts was terrific! His knowledge of the country, the ruins, the local birds, animals, trees, flowers, monkeys - everything he located & showed us on the river, while walking around the ruins & on the way back was phenomenal. So many things he located on the river up/back we'd not seen before, plus it was a great experience to hike the ruins to the top & see the view! Highly recommend this! =)
