Great day of fly fishing on a beautiful day. Visited over 15 islands in a tireless pursuit of bones, tarpons, and permit. We didn’t run into a lot of schools, but we got fish out of every one. I came in the off season and went fishing last second. He had everything for me - even a neck gaiter “so he didn’t bring me back home cooked!” Great fisherman and great person. I would definitely like to come back during peak season.

Our family of 4 went on a full day trip in search of bonefish, permit, and tarpon on a spin cast. Our daughters (12,7) and ourselves are avid fishers who were searching for a new experience. The waters, reefs, islands, etc. we were taken to was an experience in itself. Highly recommend for safety, honesty and knowledge.

Jermaine was awesome and extremely knowledgeable of where and when to fish In the Placencia area. He kept a clean boat and equipment. My son and I had a blast trolling and catching Mackerel and King fish our only regret was that we were only had time for a half day. Book with Jermaine and you will not be disappointed. Thanks again!

Went on a quick 1/2 day excursion with Jermaine after cancelling out last minute on a full-day party boat excursion. And am SO glad we did. Jermaine picked us up right outside our hotel (Chabil Mar) and took us out for a troll then to a small island for a swim and a relax. Jermaine was knowledgeable and charming, the perfect combination of chatty and informative then tactful enough to leave us alone on the island to enjoy the splendid waters and view he introduced us to. We look forward to our next trip with him!!

I cannot find the words to appropriately and fully describe the amazing time I had this April in Belize with Jermaine aka Big Fish. I took my sister in law on a little fishing trip that included three full days on the boat and a two day epic journey via the ocean from Placencia to Caye Caulker. The first day we went inshore reef trolling. We got on the fish and were consistently reeling in fish all day, Jacks, Kings, Mackerel, Barracuda, Bonitas etc. Then we took a lunch break and snorkelled on a pristine reef in the ocean all to ourselves. Our lunch was typical Belizean lunch of pasta salad, sandwiches, snacks, fresh fruit and juice. We saw nurse sharks and rays as well as plenty of other reef fish and coral. PS. the snorkel gear is supplied by Jermaine!!! We then took our catch of the day back to the local restaurant (DeTatch) with our accommodation (Sea Spray Hotel). We were well taken care of and well fed at this establishment also. Spicy Cilantro and Blackened were the flavors we chose to devour our fish with. The second day we were on the fly and were on the TARPON big time. This was unreal and so exciting they were coming up everywhere!! We also saw Manatees on the way to the fishing spot. We then made some way towards Tobacco Caye where we would be spending the night. We stopped and did some trolling, caught some nice Jack and then continued on our way. We then stopped and tried for some Barraccuda. We continued on then stopped and had lunch of chicken, rice and beans, coleslaw. Jermaine's wife does the cooking and it is PERFECT AND DELICIOUS!!! We had a little snorkel and then continued on. We hit up a bone fish spot and saw a couple schools. We then tried for tarpon again just outside of the lodging. We came in and had dinner and rested our heads at Jo Jos By the Reef. The next morning we went out and trolled for wahoo. We then got some bait fish for more varied fishing. We stopped back to the island and had breakfast, grabbed our stuff and checked out. On our way out we fed the pelicans and frigets. We got onto the fish all day again with baracudas on different reefs. We had lunch in the water on a sand bar and enjoyed sandwiches and fruit. Oh and the bread is homemade too!! We continued on our way and stopped at St. Georges Caye. We had cleaned some fish and then continued on. We stopped at another sand bar and enjoyed fresh shrimp ceviche and chips. We then finished our journey with a sunset ride into Caye Caulker. Seriously an amazing trip. Words cannot describe the amount of knowledge Jermaine has, he is incredibly competent and fully capable at his profession. He is professional funny and VERY patient. He had so many great ideas and will give you a trip of a life time.. that is if you can refrain from going back and making it a yearly trip!!! We will definitely be going back and doing something similar.
