I gotta first say that I should have written this review months ago. I’m not much into social media and networking, and feel bad that I haven’t spread word of Keon’s, Jalima’s, and Eric’s hospitality, professionalism, and generosity sooner! As avid fishermen and adventurers, my wife and I have spent a lot of time in Belize but last year was our first trip with our daughter, 3 y.o. Of course we caught fish, but our time with On the Hook went well beyond tight lines and fresh fillets. Howlers, crocodiles, iguanas, sea turtles, sharks, rays, sunburns, and birthday cakes, we made memories that will last a lifetime, and our family has new friends in BZ. Book with On the Hook.

This is a Belize family run business that I highly recommend. Jalima and Keon are awesome!! ❤️❤️ We set up the trip with Jalima for snorkeling and fishing the next day. That morning conditions weren't great for snorkeling but Keon made sure to give us a memorable experience. He took us to a small private island to relax. Ivan's Island. It had a dock, a bar (opening soon!), a restroom, two friendly dogs, some chickens, and plenty of hammocks. It was definitely a hidden gem. Then took us fishing; which was fun, just not technically 'successful' lol. Keon knows every part of that water/area and could have made it happen. But keep in mind conditions were not ideal and we didn't care that much about catching a fish. The experience was what it was all about - to top it off, we were greeted by dolphins as we came into the bay near Placencia. It was a great day!

The office is managed by Keon’s wife and her communication is excellent and timely. She’s sooo nice!! She told us where to be and when, what to bring and to expect. Keon and Ricky picked us up on the dock of our hotel, on time, on a very choppy day. Keon explained how he would navigate the water and what to expect in terms of waves and safety. The waves were big but Ricky held onto my 5 y/o daughter the entire ride while my 8 y/o talked his ear off. We were taken across the water to the reefs surrounding the cayes. It was AWESOME. My son caught a tuna which we then used for bait to catch lunch: barracuda, mackerel and jack fish. Keon then took us to a private Caye and while he and Ricky cooked a delicious meal we relaxed in hammocks while the kids played on the beach. This was by far our favorite adventure. On The Hook is knowledgeable but also family run and family focused. We had a great time and will be hiring them for all our tours next year.

Keon was an amazing guide to our snorkel adventure. Just wish i had booked an all day adventure instead of just doing a half day.

We had a great day with Captian Keon. We caught barracuda, mackerel, tuna, and a needle fish. We snorkeled and relaxed while Keon prepared our mackerel for lunch. He even showed us how to open a coconut that we found. We definitely would do again!
