Located on Main Street Placencia, Kaj Expressions Placencia is a small woman-owned and operated boutique that carries jewelry, natural soaps, leather bags, and other unique souvenirs all 100% locally handcrafted by Belizean Women. We take pride in being the ORIGINAL home of Lionfish Jewelry in ALL OF BELIZE AND THE ENTIRE CARIBBEAN! And if you're wondering we mean by Lionfish Jewelry, we're talking about jewelry that's made using actual Lionfish! Come experience our wonderful air conditioned studio full of treasures handmade with love. Ladies, you can honestly shop in peace here: we have a comfortable lounge chair waiting for hubbies. And gents, if you're on a shopping mission but not sure what to get, we're here to help you out with that! All visitors from all walks of life are welcome here!

When I came to visit Placencia in early January with some of my friends, and I decided to stop in and check out the store. I love the setup, especially the mirrors 😍 Karen was so helpful and professional when it came to all of our questions. The store is beautiful and well kept and all the jewelry are beautifully made. It's an inspiration to see that a woman is the head of such a beautiful brand.

Beautiful Jewelry but even more so is Karen, the person at the store! As I came in, I was greeted with a smile, and the most amazing thing is that I had been there before and to my surprise Karen remembered my face... she said I looked familiar, but ofc, I had been there before because I love their products. They are beautiful and unique... will definitely be there again as soon as I put up some more cash to increase my Kaj collection 😁

Bought a beautiful name chain for my daughter’s birthday and she was blown away. She screamed with excitment when she opened that bag. Jasmine assisted me and she was the sweetest soul i’ve ever met… Kaj and her team are amazing at what they do and you could tell the amount of love they put into their work. Im def shopping there again and am more excited that she’s opening a studio here in Caye Caulker…

Amazing little shop and such unique items. You absolutely must visit when in Placencia. And the lion fish jewelry is so unique and eco friendly. If you’re looking for a unique gift for someone else or yourself then visit.

The art they made me was magnificent. In love with the star studs, crescent moon and sun hoops, and moon ring. Exceptional service from Jasmine from TeamKaj. She ensured that my experience with their establishment was smooth.

Beautiful unique handmade jewelry. Very high quality. Great value. I bought a tiny gold pair of earrings for my granddaughter who is a toddler and they cut the post short and filed it down as well. Unique lion fish earrings that were amazing. Customer service is absolutely top notch. I wish I could buy the whole store.

The Lionfish is an invasive species and it is threatening the reef. Kaj makes the most beautiful and imaginative jewelry from the Lionfish so you can help the environment and bring home a wonderful souvenir. The shop is air conditioned which makes it easier to spend time admiring all of her very unique creations. A "must visit" in Placentia.

Kaj makes such gorgeous Lionfish jewelry! So happy to see such lovely, creative pieces made to help in the fight against this invasive species. Earrings, bracelets and necklaces combining pearls, coral and lionfish fins. Kaj is so talented and knowledgeable, I was truly impressed! Please visit the Treasure Box when you are in Placencia and buy Lionfish jewelry to be part of the solution!

The Treasure box has very creative and beautiful handmade jewelry selection. If you are visiting Placencia in Belize make sure you visit The Treasure box. Each of the jewelry is unique and beautiful. They all are made by Khadija who is the owner and Jewelry designer.

Treasure Box is a MUST while in Placencia! I met Kaj through a friend and received a few items through her via Facebook and Insta before actually visiting her store in Belize. I reached out to her before my husband and I arrived in Placencia and when we arrived at Treasure Box, Kaj's employee Valentina greeted us with a smile (she also has THE BEST LAUGH EVER) Treasure Box has various items to choose from...rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, toe rings and plenty of other items, all of which are very inexpensive, and such great quality. Did I tell you that ALL items are handmade by Kaj? Who wouldn't want to take home a piece made by a Belizean local? I can tell you that I purchased MANY items, not only did I purchase many items, but I also took a trip to her other store in San Ignacio and bought two more pairs of earrings. My favorite item that I have that she made, is my personalized necklace, if you want one of these, you must order in advance so that you can pick up from her store when you arrive. You must also visit her other business "Cool Coconuts" at the end of the pier. They will chop open a fresh coconut right in front of you and you can either have a shot of coconut rum added, or just drink it as is. DELISH! Do NOT leave Placencia without visiting both of these businesses, you will not walk away disappointed! xoxo
