I wish that I knew more about Doyle’s bird watching talents and where to go before we ran out of time. We only had time to go with him to see the Scarlet Macaws and it was magic. We had a great time. Some others who joined us went birding in another area as well and told us later that it had been wonderful.

We hired Doyle to do an overnight in the Jaguar Reserve/Coxscomb Basin. We were nervous about overnighting in the jungle but Doyle's expertise was stunning and comforting and we learned so much. You can get so much out of these trips and Doyle will be with you every step of the way.
Things to know:
1. Pay for a quality tour guide. This is not the cheapest tour guide, this the best tour guide. Simple. Why cut corners on the experience? Cut corners somewhere else in your life.
2. Doyle's catering is to die for. It's sometimes hard to find good, real, local food in a country you are visiting. Doyle's food and catering is GREAT. I miss it still.
3. He knows the land, he's an expert and he's fun to be around.
4. He can take you fishing, he can set up boat tours, he can cater your food, he can set you up with a guide for any tour in the country, he can give you the opportunity to stand in a jungle smelling cat pee and looking at trees that have been scratched by jaguars.

We did the Cockscomb Nature Preserve tour with Doyle and Kirk and what an experience!! After hiking the preserve and learning about the jaguars, the wild pigs, birds, and the medicinal uses of the plants we had a great lunch including Doyle’s smoked chicken to get us ready for the afternoon’s adventure. The afternoon consisted of tubing down the Stan Creek river, then hiking up to Big Ben’s Bluff Waterfall, then comes the fun and challenging part. We then traversed down the river climbing rocks and sliding down at least 6 rock slides. This is a one of a kind experience that you can only get with Doyle and DTOURZ and highly recommend it. Doyle is a great guide and Kirk was wonderful as well. If you are in the Placencia area you can’t miss this opportunity!

My finance and I decided to book this excursion last minute and we're very glad we did! We signed up to do the Cockscomb tubbing and got that and more. Our guide, Peter, started our tour with a in-depth explanation about the preserve and then took us on a ~1 hour hike though the forest (definitely bring bug spray!), followed by a delicious homemade lunch. The tubing was ~30 minutes and really relaxing and beautiful. It felt amazing getting in the fresh cold water. After the tube ride, we hiked ~20 minutes to a beautiful waterfall. Peter was extremely knowledge about all the different plants and animals. He was very passionate about his work and was genuinely happy to spend his Christmas was us, which really made the experience that much more memorable. He ensured we were safe and enjoying ourselves the entire time. Thank you again, Peter and Dtourz. We hope to be back soon!

We "hired" Doyle for a night hike and tubing in The Cockscomb jaguar Preserve. I put hired in quotes because I feel like Doyle enjoys doing these tours so much that it isn't work for him. He loves it and you can tell. He is very knowledgeable of the plants and animals of the jungle. We did not see a Jaguar, we knew this would be rare, but we did find very fresh skat and tree claw marks which meant we were extremely close. On the night tube portion, we got to see bats, Kinkajou, and eye shine of something crossing the river in front of us. Very fun and highly recommended.

During our stay in Belize we booked 3 out of 5 of our excursions with DTOURZ, but wish we would have done them all with them! They were super easy to book and very responsive to emails. They picked us up at our resort. I also did my research and think their prices are the best in the area. Our tours went exactly as described and we were very happy. Doyle and Kirk were amazing. They both are extremely knowledgeable and personable.

What an incredible experience with Doyle! He was incredibly knowledgeable about everything in Cockscomb preserve and just one of the coolest guys ever. So friendly and inviting. Not only did we do the tour with him, he invited us to a movie premiere that night and we hung out with he and his wife…and it just got more fun from there! Awesome tour, and an awesome guide.

Absolutely phenomenal time with Doyle! One of the best days of my life and will never forget it! Doyle was so knowledgeable, fun and interesting and made every part of the tour intriguing. Which part of the tour was my favorite? All of it! Tubing down the river, hiking to the waterfall and best of all, sliding down the natural waterfalls!! Will tell everyone they need to do Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary Tour with Doyle! I will be definitely doing another tour with him next time!!

We went on a day trip (snorkeling) to the Silk Keys with DTourz. The guides were very friendly, helpful and professional. We saw turtles, sharks, rays and dolphins and will certainly never forget this great day!
The lunch, which was taken at the restaurant on Ray Caye, was also fantastic!
We would love to come back anytime!

We did the Coconut tour and it was a treat to learn about processing the coconut and getting in the mix to help. We finished with a 3 course meal with freshly caught fish. Allow 1/2 day and and bring your chill vibes. Doyle is great and it’s treat to spend the afternoon with him at his home base.

I did a day tour, I think 100.00 US per person includes transportation, lunch etc. very well worth it!
