My experience with ReefCI was a once in a lifetime trip. The staff is extremely friendly and highly educated, the volunteers are amazing, the food delicious, and the dives beautiful. I can't speak anything but highly of ReefCI and Belize. 3 weeks went by too quickly! But I plan on coming back next summer... and the summer after that. Everyone should experience the pure beauty and happiness of Tom Owens Caye and ReefCI.

I went to reef ci only intending to receive an open water certification, but because of how comfortable and exciting my instructor (Matilda Ellison) made it I went on to get a couple more certifications. Matilda was thorough and comforting. She kept me at ease the entire time and her love for her job was very apparent. I highly recommend others go to her for PADI instruction!!

Primitive setting on a secluded island with no internet or cell service - that part was a 5-star rating. Food gets 4-stars, but more fish meals would have been nice, especially considering we were crushing lion fish every day. Boats are not dive boats - surprising since this is a dive operation. One of the boats was better suited for storming the beaches of Normandy, than getting on and off for diving. The staff were all nice and mostly friendly. Conservation courses were geared toward teenage divers and focused exclusively on lion fish. If you are seeking to learn more about lion fish, and help kill off the population, this is the place.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time. She just learned to scuba dive and was a little nervous at first. As the week went on, she got certified and saw why diving and why marine conservation are so important. We had presentations daily to inform us about our oceans and how lionfish are destroying the reefs as well as the work we were going to do for the day. The food was out of this world! Whether you're vegan, vegitarian, or have any food restrictions, Alex and Bol were phenomenal to accommodate you. Everything was fresh and homemade. Thursday nights they have a big barbeque for the whole crew. Willie and Sam, divemasters, led my group and I can't praise them enough for helping fix my gear so I could continue to dive, showing us sweet dive spots, and kept their cool when plans changed due to Three dives a day was perfect. We saw everything from MANTA RAYS, HAMMERHEAD/NURSE SHARKS, EELS, an OCTOPUS hunting during our night dive, beautiful sea creatures, coral, wildlife, and of course helping to decrease the lionfish population by spearfishing. I'd highly recommend ReefCI to any diver who likes to "rough it." The boat rides to the reef were exhilarating. The staff was amazing helping everyone from new divers to experienced. Towards the end of our week stay, everyone felt like family. It was very hard to say our goodbyes but we shall be back in the near future!

My daughter and I were fortunate to be able to participate in this amazing adventure not only to see incredible sea life, but to also help give back to preserve our ocean habitats. We dove 3 times a day and saw beautiful coral, a variety of fish species, eels, sharks, dolphins, rays, etc. We also got to spearfish lion fish, a very invasive species that is decimating the native fish life and impacting the coral reef. The staff was knowledgeable, passionate about what they do, helpful, and very friendly. The treated us like special guests. The food was amazing, cooked by a local gentleman that takes pride in what he cooks. This trip exceeded our expectations!
