Great location, average food
Besides the delicious banana chips, the dishes were just okay...your typical sports bar food. We were disappointed that one person in our party of six received her meal (pizza) when the rest of us we were nearly finished eating...and it was pizza night. Many items on the menu were not available, including lobster. Our server was dismayed and tried her best to accommodate one thing after the other.

Check out Garifuna cultural dancers at Tipsy Tuna
We checked out Tipsy Tuna during evening of Garifuna culture dancers. The atmosphere is very lively. Even with tons of patrons, the staff were quick to serve drinks, appetizers and dinner. Food was reasonably price and delicious. We had come here specifically to check out the cultural dancers and we were not disappointed. High-energy dances - right from the beginning. Excellent entertainment and dinner.

Loved It At Tipsy Tuna!
We enjoyed lunch at the Tipsy Tuna - twice! Really cool vibe! Right on the beach. Great service. Delicious food. A pretty awesome Placencia experience. Definitely recommend.

When we got here the place was empty with the exception of one group who was just there having drinks our food was just ok not terrible. But for some reason the waitress just refused to bring my daughter’s grilled cheese sandwich. Even though she was reminded 3 times throughout our meal. Till we were completely fed up and left after waiting almost 2 hours where she chased us down and asking us to pay. She gave no apology or care at all. There was a place next door with live drummers and full of people looking like they were having a great time. I can’t help but think we should have went there instead.

We checked out Tipsy Tuna during evening of Garifuna culture dancers. The atmosphere is very lively. Even with tons of patrons, the staff were quick to serve drinks, appetizers and dinner. Food was reasonably price and delicious. We had come here specifically to check out the cultural dancers and we were not disappointed. High-energy dances - right from the beginning. Excellent entertainment and dinner.

Solid Little Sports Bar

Tasty food, TVs, an ambitious drink menu and beach sights. Not sure one can ask for much more. We fed ourselves and our teenagers, took lots of selfies and enjoyed the views. It’s worth a visit.

Beachfront view, extensive drink menu

Large touristy restaurant right on the beach with lots of seating, both shaded and sunny. Don't be in a hurry, it's popular, busy, and slow (as with most restaurants we've been to in Belize). Expensive drinks, but we did enjoy them. The nachos were nothing to write home about; the tortilla chips were the weakest link, very bland and off putting, the toppings were good and the cheese was melted perfectly. On the other hand, we tried the wings, which were meaty and very tasty.

We have been in Placencia for 9 days and have eaten here multiple times. Food was usually good and wings were excellent. Tonight my wife and I went again for dinner and had wings again (happy hour) ordered 2 types if 6 wings. Supposed to be $1.wing. 6 were $8. The other 6 were $5.33??? Also not 1/2 as good as 2 nights ago during Wing night. Margherita was $2. off Menu price. Price was $12. We were charged $12. No discount and drink was very watery. We were given many lame excuses we just paid the bill and won't be going back.

Started off here by renting a kayak from a helpful Simon (merci) who got me off into the waters where I had a solo run for about an hour - loved it.
After my paddling ended , stopped into the open air bar and tried a few of their drink specialties. All perfect for the beach. I had a Rainforest, Mudslide, and Almond Crush - not all on the same day though.
Returned a few more times for kayaking, once with my partner, and she was into it as well. Also a couple more trips to the bar.
Great laid back, beachy atmosphere and staff easy to deal with. Back next time for another kayak adventure.

Fun stop

Fun and festive bar. Solid bar food, diverse and interesting crowd. Service was friendly and location can’t be beat. Make sure you give your table scraps to the sweet little stray black and white dog who hangs out there.

THE place to eat in Placencia village right on the beach

THE place to eat when at Placencia village. Big menu, cold drinks, lots of space and the chance to enjoy an ocean side restaurant experience. Walked back to our resort along the beach. Really enjoyed the Garifuna cultural performance.
