Simon is the man! One of the nicest people we met in Placencia. You have to call ahead (ask people at next door Tipsy Tuna) but he’ll walk over and get you situated in minutes. Prices are super cheap and hes knowledgeable about the entire area. Would recommend spending an afternoon kayaking

Simon offers a plethora of water sports gear, suitable to the advanced or beginner enthusiast. From windsurfing boards and sails, paddle boards, kayaks, to tubes for kids and adults alike, he’s got it!

THE place to rent kayaks, SUPs, etc. Great location, Great equipment. Fair prices. Simon is so helpful and knowledgeable. Great guy! We rented from him about a dozen times over two months. Regularly saw manatees off the point. Also saw dolphins and rays on lucky days. Cormorants and Pelicans, of course. The caribbean is so calm here because of the protective reef. Every outing is special.

We rented kayaks from Simon for half a day. The water was like glass and he showed us on the map the best places to go and offered snorkeling gear as we didn’t bring ours with. Wish we’d have taken him up on it although the water was crystal clear and we were able to see the coral, fish and star fish were everywhere. Picked one up and it was hard shelled unlike ones I’ve been in contact with before. At first thought it might be dead but close inspection showed it very much alive . Gently put it back in the water.
Also, very impressed with Simon, he’s a very kind individual and will allow local kids to use his kayaks and snorkeling equipment. When I mentioned this he said he’d rather see them playing in the water and staying active. Your a good man Simon.

We tried Sea Canoe for the first time, the tour you can do from his place (front beach) to the other side of Placencia (Lagune) is amazing, two differents sides/sea/vegetation/houses.
We liked it a lot so we came back the next day to try Paddle !
Simon is very welcoming and helpfull.

Simon was truly awesome! He was incredibly patient during the wind surfing lesson and very helpful getting my friend and I set up with our paddle boards. I would definitely go back and would recommend him to anyone who want to do water sports in Placencia. I would just make sure to call him ahead of time as he is the only one who works there.

I was looking for a place to do some kayaking off the beach in Placencia, and this place was the perfect spot. Located right next to the Tipsy Tuna, Simon's stand had everything you need for an afternoon on the water. His gear was in excellent condition, and he was very helpful with new places to go explore. The next day, I came back to grab a mask and fins for snorkeling. Simon went above and beyond in accommodating when I could return the gear. This is the spot for some sun and fun on the water in the village.

Had a really fun day today surfing with Simon! The wind was up and the waves were there so it was a lot of fun. Simon is relaxed and superfriendly, has good and well maintained material and relaxed prices as well. Thank you Simon for a supersurf day! O, and he has SUP and kayak and snorkelling too, but i didn’t use that. If you just wanna surf or get some lessons, Surf to Simon!
