Shayla was in the office when we arrived and she was very informative about some plants we had questions about. There was a class that day, so unfortunately there were no guides for guided tours, so we did a self tour. A booklet with a map and a description of the plants comes with the price of admission ($30 BZ... More

Do the guided tour, it costs 30 extra BZ (for 2 people) but is totally worth it. You learn about the different plants and get to try some of the delicious fruits they have. The road to get there is bumpy so I would sugest going early and leave before sundown.

This was a nice relaxing place to go and see the native plants. We even seen some native wildlife too! I would make this a stop on your trip to Belize!

Although there was still lots to see. We... More

We were impressed with the wide variety of flowers, fruit trees and medicinal plants on the property. Our guide an amazing man who knew all the medicinal properties of each plant. Definitely glad we experienced this!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the garden. A guided tour provided so much more insight into the behind the scenes botanical conservation work and priorities across Belize. Accolades to the education efforts as well!

We spent most of a day here, starting with a guided tour. The tour was very reasonably priced, and our guide was very knowledgeable. The open areas of the garden provide good sight-lines for birds and monkeys, and the restaurant provides nice meals at reasonable prices.

The botanic garden was in park like setting with rain forest, very extensive. Our tour guide Oscar was very knowledgeable. He showed us a variety of trees and bushes, naming them off and their purposes. We saw a leaf, key ingredient in Coco Channel 5 perfume. The tour took an hour and a half. The Botanic Garden offered us free... More

Amazing experience! I'm a Horticulture major so this was probably doubly cool for me. being able to walk on trails through the jungle, see plants, that we use in america as house plants, in their natural habitat, it was an amazing experience. Can't wait to go again!

We loved this- and wished we had reserved a tour guide. We just showed up and came when a big school group was there. It was fun to watch these kids- they were so attentive to the guides. We're impressed!
