We originally found Hanna Stables on Trip Advisor and I thought horseback riding would be a great way to tour Xunantunich. I wasn't let down. It was an easy and gorgeous ride down the Mopan river full of beautiful vegetation and wildlife. We crossed the river on a little hand-cranked ferry and rode all the way up to the ruins.... More

We booked the ride through Black Rock Lodge, where we were staying. Santiago picked us up there and took us to the stables where we were matched with horses. We are not accomplished riders and had an 11-year-old with us, and the horses were very safe for us, but they were still more responsive than some of the tired horses... More

They will give you a private horse back riding tour. They will also pick you up at your hotel (as long as it is close to SI) free of charge. William was our guide and spent a lot of time with us. Once we got to the ruins, we spent about 2 hours walking around at our own pace. I... More

The horseback ride was great, and the handlers were great with our small kids (3&5). However, I booked the car service to and from Belize City, and our car on the way back to Belize City was in poor condition and made us very uncomfortable about the 2 hour drive back. If you're going to horseback ride, I would suggest... More

We spent a half a day going to the Xunantunich Ruins by way of horse back ride which started at Hanna Stables. Travelling as a family with three small children they took very good care of each of the riders and matched them to appropriate horses based on experience and personality. The owner and guides split up and talked to... More

My husband and I did the Xunantunich/Organic Farm Horseback tour with William and it was probably the best part of our honeymoon. We arrived about 10 minutes late because it isn't the easiest to find, but their website gives fantastic driving directions. Once there, William asked about our riding level to make sure he knew what he was dealing with.... More

Getting there is not difficult once you figure out how to stay on Western Highway as you traverse through some of the one-way streets of San Ignacio. There is a sign on the right-side of the highway to turn into the property (first entrance when you see the sign) and you simply travel down that bumpy road until it dead-ends... More

I've ridden here both times I visited Belize and couldn't recommend it more enthusiastically. These beautiful horses are loved and cared-for, the stables are clean, and the scenery is breath-taking. Santiago is a consummate professional, as well as an intellectual who provides excellent company along the trail. I am a bird watcher, so was pleased at the variety of birds... More

By far the best place. Came across Hanna Stables on trip advisor and booked the ride to the ruins. I can say that this was the best tour and stable anywhere. We had Jimmy as our guide and he just rocked, good laughs and he showed us everything. The trip was perfect, the horses are so lovable, and easy to... More

Our second visit with Hanna's in the last 2 months. Jimmy was fantastic! The horses are very well cared for and easy to ride for younger ages (we have a 10-year old). Great value as well! Thanks guys!
