Explore inland tours gave us the most wonderful experience 2 day touring in Belize.
First Sergio jr Brought us from the airport to our hotel while showing us the town of San Pedro. The next day Ian the ATM cave specialty picked us up from our hotel Kaana a Hyatt. He was an excellent guide through an arduous and water soaked phenomenal cave tour. This cave was a Mayan ritual spiritual historical phenomenon. Ian is a specialist in all things Myon especially his cave. He was also so good explaining where to swim to step and to spelunk through this amazing historic cave. I highly recommend this trip if you are in very good shape able to deal with swimming And climbing over rocks slippery surfaces and ladders. It is well worth the effort. He also brought a delicious delicious home-cooked meal for us to eat at lunch and we loved it. The next day Selmo picked us up from our hotel to take us to the Xuintanich Mayan ceremonial center. It was Amazing to hear about the history and the life of the Mayans in that time. You can even see Guatemala from the top. Later that day we went to a fun and relaxing Cave tubing experience. You get a short walk to the entry side of the cave where a gentle current and guides takes you through the cave and down a jungle river. Loved it it was so relaxing calm and beautiful. The water was so refreshing.
The best part of that day wasn’t just the Mayan temple in the cave it was also that Selmo being of Mayan dissent knew all about the culture and the plants and fauna of the area and all the way as we walked showed us the plants and the trees and the medicinal values And that was absolutely amazing. I so appreciated his wealth of knowledge and every little thing he Taught us.
Lunch was at a lovely restaurant and it was the rice, beans and stew chicken of Belize it’s delicious
I highly recommend this itinerary and this company for your inland Belize touring needs. They were also half the price of the hotel concierge. And I did ask them for the airport transfer which was also cheaper than anywhere else.

We did two tours with this company and really enjoyed it! Especially atm caves, cause the guide was very good and made sure we were at a perfect time to not need to stand in long lines of people cause it gets pretty busy down there. He was full of good energy and also gave us a lot of extra information about the country in our ride and took us to more extreme parts of the caves, cause the group was very excited about it. Also had very positive interactions with the owner, would recommend!

Sergio, the owner of the tour company, was wonderful. He was kind and generous with his time and knowledge. He was so helpful with answering our questions about each of his tours. He gave us a discount of about $10 for ATM cave tour. I think he was able to do this because he was given a grant for small businesses struggling with gas prices and inflation. The ATM tour was not to missed. HIs guide, Ian, was excellent. If you are a walker or hiker or somewhat active you will be fine on this tour. I have a shoulder injury and was nervous about having to scramble up rocks during the spelunking part, however I had minimal issues. There is one part where you need to lift up a few feet, however I was able to use my good arm and balance on another rock. Just be mindful of where you step. Also, you have to leave water and food before entering the cave. You are in the cave about 1.5 hours. Be sure to eat a good breakfast and be well hydrated.

Also, we needed transport from San Ignacio to Belize City and Sergio was amazing at helping us to get a ride for much cheaper than a shuttle. He knows many people in town and appears to have good relationships with them. He also gave excellent recommendations for food.

I cannot speak highly enough Sergio and his tour company. He really made our time in San Igancio worthwhile.

My husband and I, my daughter, son-in-law, 14 year old grandson and 6 year old grandson all went ziplining and cave tubing with Explore Inland Tours at Jaguar Paw. We all had an amazing time! Sergio, Selmo (Guapo) and Carlos do a fantastic job! Selmo knows everything there is to know about Belize and loves to share his knowledge with guests in fun and funny ways. Carlos told us he was learning from the best, and I think that's true! Carlos did an outstanding job making sure our adventure was smooth and that everybody, including the 6 year old, felt safe and had an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend these guys!

We had a wonderful time with Ian and the ATM tour. He was conscientious of both us and the cave and rainforest environment which was much appreciated. The cave itself was such a unique experience from hiking, swimming, caving, to archaeological exploration. I would highly, highly recommend to anyone who physically can to join and experience this tour with Explore Inland tours. Being able to swim, hike, and be willing to squeeze through some smaller spaces is part of the tour and makes it a fun adventure!

Had such a wonderful time on Selmo’s trip to Caracol, Rio Frío Caves and Rio On Pools. I’ll remember this for a very long time! Selmo was so nice and funny and generous with his time and expertise. The car ride was super bumpy but he made it fun, and because the spot is so hard to access we had the ruins practically all to ourselves! If you have a good sense of humor about unpaved roads and want a unique tour of a historical site from a friendly and experienced guide, this is the best place to go.

Sergio went above and beyond with his communication and coordination of our tours. Ian was our guide for the ATM and truly one of the best guides and tours we have ever been on!!! Ian was so knowledgeable about the history and science (geological formations) and kept us safe and comfortable the whole time. Loved his added touches making his stories come alive with music and shadow making.
Selmo was an incredible guide of the Xun ruins providing humor with excellent history and story telling. A great bonus he was able to give us extra bonus with his spider making calls and saw a whole family in the tree playing around. The entire company does a great job combining incredible professionalism with a true sense of pride and respect of their culture and history. It felt like hanging with family. Our highest recommendation for this company and two amazing guides!!

We did the Xunantunich/Cave tubing combo. The scenery was wonderful, but our guide "Handsome" made the experience really something to remember. Every moment was filled with information on the trees, plants, local history , animals and a great sense of humor that made the day really enjoyable. He painted a picture of the Maya that brought the ruins to life. Thge cave tubing was relaxing, and really beautiful. Highly recommend this tour, and while I am sure they have a really good group of tour guides, Handsome did a 5 star job. Get him if you can. Excellent job.

went on 2 tours with this company and both were fantastic!

unfortunately it rained a bunch while we were in san ignacio so our tours kept getting cancelled. but the staff were super friendly and informative and provided us with other things to do while we waited for the rain to life.

first we went to Barton Cave canoeing with Selmo. super funny and personable. he explained alottttt of stuff, from the caves to mayan culture to what trees and fruits there were. super cool to see inside a different cave, we got into some tight spots too. i can include a picture or two. don’t need any skill for this, it’s pretty easy

we FINALLY got to do ATM with the rain lifted and we were so excited. no pictures except a before and after. no longer allowed to bring them in the cave. craziest experience of my life. i am generally a nervous person who is afraid of small spaces and heights and i did it. some bumps and scratches but it’s no biggie. our guide was Ian and he was fantastic. he got us in the cave before 95% of groups were there so we really got the experience the cave in the dark. we were going out when a ton of group were going in. he was patient and kind and had me come to the front in small areas so he could talk me through how to complete the areas. we are so glad we did both tours with this group!

The best start exploring Belize!
We couldn’t have wished for a better start in Belize thanks to our guide, Selmo. We had a wonderful time with our guide Selmo from Xplore, who showed us both Cave Tubing and Ziplining at Nohoch Che’en Caves, and the day after he showed us Barton Creek. From start until the end, he explained us so many different things about Belizean culture, the jungle, plants, trees, food, birds and other animals, the Maya culture and he learned us how to survive in the jungle. Awesome experience. We felt everything nessecary was explained and he was funny, happy and very kind.
We can definitely recommend Selmo as your future guide for Xplore Inland Tours.
