About K’atun Ajaw – Belize Culture Tours
Elias Cambranes spent twenty years touring Maya National Parks and Caves in Belize in Guatemala. Working for all the big names in the business and big resorts, he decided to start working for himself twenty years ago. Following the footprints of the Mayan Culture allowed for the name KATUN AJAW “Lord of 20 years”. I have selected the best guides to carry out the tours when I need to stay back. Safety and security is number 1 priority on our tours followed by excellent information and very reliable vehicles. Since the start of KATUN AJAW, in 2007 we have a perfect clean record in safety and reliability…join us in the experience.

We booked our shuttle from Belize city, our Tikal day trip, and our ATM tour through Katun Ajaw. The prices were all significantly lower than those offered through our hotel. However, what is most important is the quality of service and we were extremely happy...More

Elias was fantastic - - not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the Maya and Tikal, he was a thoughtful gentleman. I was 71 yrs old with 2 titanium hips; without asking, Elias quietly arranged a truck to transport me from the ticket office to...More

Our tour guide through katun ahau- Ben - was absolutely amazing. Ben seemed excited to share about his country, the area, and of course - the cave and the rituals. Ben was open regarding all questions our crew had, even the critical ones. He was...More

We used Elias's tour company for everything during our San Ignacio stay due to the reviews here which included the ATM tour, Tikal, and shuttle service between San Ignacio and Belize City. We were lucky to have Elias for both tours and he is definitely...More

Our family of five (3 teenage boys who really wanted to stay at the hotel and play video games!) traveled to Tikal to see the Mayan ruins there, and we had a FANTASTIC experience with Elias, and K'atun Ajaw. We learned so much about Belize,...More

We booked both the ATM cave tour and a trip from San Ignacio to Tikal in Guatemala. Both tours had great guides who knew their subjects very well. Elias is actually a certified guide in both Belize and in Guatemala, so he stayed with us...More

We found Elias simply searching “Day Trips Tikal” online and we couldn’t be happier we did. We were staying at one of the resorts in San Ignacio, and was given the hard sell to use one of “their guides” but after doing some comparison price...More

You need one whole day for Tikal. We did a similar thing to your plan. If you reach on Wednesday, going to Tikal on Thursday or Friday will be perfect.
