We have spent five days in San Ignacio during our 20th Anniversary and Rahul made a great job organizing 4 days with various activities: Barton Creek with canoeing in the dark of a superb cave, Xunantunich (Tuna Sandwich), Caracol and Cahal Pech Mayan archeological sites, canoe on the Macal River and swimming in Rio Frio natural pools. Beyond the fact they picked us up all the way at our hotel in Mexico and arranged the same for the return, they systematically arranged for a driver and when necessary a specialized guide on top and meals when the tour was a full day. On the way in we stopped for an unbelizeable experience at Lamanai with Eco Tour. A big thanks to Damian, Francesco and Jason for sharing with us their love of their country.

We stayed at Midas Resort in San Ignacio, Cayo with friends traveling from California. We wanted to experience some caves and waterfalls in western Belize so we were in search of tour companies in the area. We read a lot of great reviews of others but were referred to Authentic Travel by some friends. I must say that these people really have their act together. We contacted them at 5pm and they were able to hook us up on a private tour to Big Rock falls for a picnic the following day. Raul was our point of contact/agent and made everything hassle free. They were on time for our pick ups and even made a stop at the market (Saturday's are market day) to get some local food and see the communities come together to display and sell an array of fresh fruits and veggies. Raul was our driver to Big falls! The road was a little bumpy but worth the ride. He shared a lot with us, and seemed pretty knowledgeable about Belize. We loved them so much that he convinced us to do the ATM cave tour with them! Again, pick up on time and everything was well executed. They recommended an early departure so that we don't bump into the hundreds of other tourists or cruise ship passengers flocking the cave. Anselmo was our guide and he went above and beyond to make all 6 of us happy. He would have us turn off our headlamps and count to 5 and when we turn them back on he's nowhere to be seen. Seconds later he emerges from a chamber above us! He's so funny and not boring. The beauty about all this is that you feel that your tour is personalized to fit your demands. Just let them know what it is you want and they will deliver. The trips were worth every penny and we will be back June 2018 and definitely will be using them again. Also note that their vehicles are comfortable and made for their specific use. All AC vehicles. Thanks Raul and Anselmo for showing us your homeland. We can't wait to be back.

My boyfriend and I arrived in Belize midday July 21st. We were so excited. As we got out the airport the atmosphere, the people and our driver Anselmo greeting us with a welcoming smile was so alluring. The moment we got into the vehicle we felt at home. Anselmo told us such interesting stories about the country which made the ride to our destination placencia seemed not so long. We checked into our room at Roberts grove which we booked on recommendation from authentic Travel and I must say it was exquisite!!! We decided to rest being that it was our 1st day. So we bid our goodbyes to Anselmo until d next day. He was there to pick us up early the next morning and thats were all our adventure begun. Anselmo took us on the most intriguing and ecstatic places. We went to Mayan ruin, waterfalls, cave tubing and zip lining. Our entire trip had me feeling sultry the entire time. I love Belize and thanks to Anselmo and Authentic travel we experienced the best of it. From the food to the people to sight seeing. We are definitely going to do it again.

My wife and I explored 2 fun filled adventurous day with Anselmo from Authentic Travel. Anselmo met us at our hotel and briefed us off on all the excitement awaiting us in the jungles of Belize. The first day we traversed into the Maya Mountains of Belize as we transitioned from broad leaf jungle into upland pine ridge Savannah. We explored mystic caves before heading to Caracol which is the largest man-made site in Belize build by the Mayas about 2000 years ago! Anselmo is very knowledgeable about the culture, history and archeology and kept us very entertained throughout his detail tour of Caracol. The views are stunning and well worth the climb to the top of the tallest pyramid! Anselmo pointed out birds, plants, animals and shared some great childhood experiences! The second day we explored Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave Adventure with both Anselmo and Orlando! The bumpy roads into the jungle took us to the start of an unforgettable experience. As the guides equipped us with our helmets, life jackets, and headlights we started our 30 minute hike on the jungle trails traversing across rivers and creeks until we got to the entrance of the cave. The journey into Xibalba quickly started as we plunged into the cool mountain waters. As we hiked inside the cave we were stand by all the fascinating features and remnants of the Mayas. Once you get to the main chamber it is utmost incredible with potteries and Maya relics scattered all over like a living museum! After 2 hours inside the cave we reach to the final showcase which is a crystallized skeleton still intact! The history of the cave and the people are just mind blowing. We then hike back to the entrance of the cave for another hour and were relieved to see daylight again! We will definitely book with Authentic Travel the next time we are in Belize.
