It's too bad this park is located so close to a busy traffic circle. Although some reviewers indicate periodic traffic noise, it was loud and constant when we visited - so loud that my Merlin app couldn't identify the bird songs. It could really use a sound barrier to the highway because otherwise it was a pleasant walk with nice viewing decks after a hot day in Belmopan.

We enjoyed the walking trails. They were working on a new swimming platform as we were there. Looks like a great place to swim and cool off after the hike.

Right off the highway stopped in on a lark and glad we did we got up close and personal with some Howler Monkeys, the group of Russian said they doubted there were any. They were making so much noise that it is no wonder they did not see them

If in Belmopan this is for sure worth a visit, but if you have to spend too much time on transport it is not worth it.

The "National Park" has two small hiking paths. One takes around 30 minutes and the other takes 1.5 hours. Both are through the jungle, but very close to the city and you can hear the noise from the city on parts of the trail.

On the shorter trail there is a birdwatching platform and a place for swimming in the river.

Entrance fee is 10 BZ$.

On a hot gay we decided to go to the park and have a walk among the trees and it was well worth it. The entry fee is nominal. Giant trees tower on both sides of the winding path that leads to the confluence of the Belize river and Roaring creek. Roaring creek is cool, clear and refreshing and the Belize river is very warm and a bit murky. Great spot for an afternoon.

We enjoyed day hiking in Guanacaste National Park. Easy access to deep jungle, with birds, bugs, and assorted flora. We were just passing through -- not an end destination.

This park is super close to the city of Belmopan. We really enjoyed our visit here. There are two trails you can hike with one of them taking you to a beautiful river where you can swim and also to a bird watching platform. Definitely visit if you're in the area.

This park is conveniently located at the "T" in Belmopan. Great place to stop and stretch your legs if you are on a long drive. There are three (3) different trails. We did the two shorter ones (10 minutes and 45 minutes). The longer trail takes about 1.5 hours. Both trails go to the Belize River. Along the way, we seen quite a few birds. There is a deck for bird watching. The trail is an easy walk. There were mosquitoes, but not bad. We always travel with bug spray, I would not go out of my way to visit this park, but it is definitely worth the visit when in the area.

Nice park at the junction of Belmopan. Lovely trail leads to the river, which is beautiful. Good place for a swim and to see the Howler monkeys that are often in the trees above. Plan on spending one to two hours. Peaceful and quite unpopulated when we visited.

I've been to Guanacaste National Park a few times, and while I have had good times there, I don't think of it as much of an attraction. I did learn about cohune palms there as part of a student group, and many years ago, swam in the Roaring Creek, which goes through it, and had a fun time. I'm sure I'll get back someday.

It is conveniently located at the intersection of the hummingbird highway and the George Price highway. There are a couple of trails there, if you like hiking.
