We did not have a game plan when we left the cruise ship on a late tender boat. As we exited the busy port, several people held signs and offered excursions. Our group of 4 women needed the restroom and a powwow. After a short discussion we went back to talk to Miles. He set us up with Kenton and a cave tubing adventure.
Kenton quickly told us that we are now family and to call him Cousin Kenton! He put us at ease about randomly selecting a tour guide we hadn't researched and vetted.
We stopped for a group picture at the Belize sign to start our Un-Belize-able day!
A fun stop at the Rum Factory and off we went to the cave. We had great conversation and laughs along the way.
Cousin Kenton offered to carry my tube to the cave because I might have had a bit of the giggle juice at the rum Factory. We had an extended walk to the cave, so we could learn about the plants and animals. Kenton even lifted me up to hang off of a bone for a photo. Big laughs from our whole group.
The cave was amazing and again, Cousin Kenton did all the work and we just floated through. We saw different formations and the sparkling crystals were beautiful.
There wasn't one minute I would trade of our was all perfect and professional, but fun. You better Belize it!!!!

This was my second excursion with Five Star and they continue to impress.
If I could give them six gold stars, I would. We were safe, secure, had the best time.
Kenton was a great guide and a lot of fun.

Our cruise took us to Belize.
We were so worried about the tender and time frame and worried about not making the last tender we cancelled our plans with a company for cave tubing and due to some of the reviews about that company we decided we would just wing it.
While on our tender to the port we found ourselves talking to the captain of the tender ( Jim ) about Belize.
He of course asked us what we had planned which was nothing.
He told me about 5 star tours and Mr. Myles.
He told us we would not regret talking to Mr. Myles and that our children would be safe with his company.
Keep in mind that this company is outside the port.
You must go outside the main gate to find them with their sign.
Once we located Mr. Myles ( which was not hard ) we decided on cave tubing and zip lining.
We were then escorted to a very clean mini van and introduced to Niko aka The Snake Man.
The drive to the caves and zip line park takes about one hour.
During the drive all I could do was worry about getting back in time.
I did not want my family to spend the night in Belize cause we missed the last tender at 430pm.
I kept asking Niko about the timeframe and he kept telling us he would get us back in plenty of time not to worry we were in good hands.
Once at the park he showed us where we could change and that we should leave our bags in the van which he would lock.
Did not feel the greatest about leaving our bags in the van due to comments about a different company that operated in the same area but what can you do??
We took what precautions we could and left our bags in the van which Niko locked up.
Off to the caves we went.
We did have to carry our own tubes but that was no big deal.
It does take some time to get to the caves and you do walk a trail.
But once you arrive it is all worth it.
The caves were outstanding.
Niko who told us all about the caves pulled us right along while swimming the entire way.
After floating all the way back down to the crossing we got out and heading over to the zip line area.
Again the walk to the second line takes a bit of time and energy but is all worth it in the end.
Our children loved it, the views are awesome.
On the way back Niko shared more about his country.
He seemed to be very proud of his country and cared about his job and his customers.
I felt very at ease with Niko and our children did as well.
We ended up back at the port with more than enough time to do some shopping.
I was more than impressed with Niko and Mr. Myles who greeted us getting out of the van to see if we enjoyed ourselves and that we arrived back in time.
5 Star Tours seems to be just starting up and they also seem to know how to take care of the people that hire them.
If we end back up in Belize I will use them again.
Niko will be requested right away.
He took care of my wife and kids from the start.
You can't go wrong with a guy like that from the very start.
Thanks Niko, Mr. Myles and Captain Jim
Belize was a great time thanks to you 3.

My wife and I just went on a cave tubing private trip with 5Star (Myles). It was excellent!! Our guide (Jeevan) went above and beyond to ensure we had a great day. He was very knowledgeable of landmarks, flora and fauna. The cave tubing was really something!!

Amazing trip with 5 star as my tour guides. Damine and Kenton were the best. City tour, rum factory with rum punch smoothie/slushie, old Belize, museum, cave tubing and zip lining. Personal attention, very knowledgeable and wonderful service. I felt safe and in great company.

I most definitely recommend 5 star to anyone.

Belize is a beautiful country and even better with fantastic tour guides.

This guide is the guide of all guides. Friendly, personable, fun, knowledgable and a genuine pleasure. The cruise lines warn you not to go 0utside of the port area. Ignore them. Find Aaron and ask for Kenton at the port where all the taxis are. He will give you the real low down on the city, meet the natives, and see the sights. If I can't recommend him any more highly.

If you use any excursion company in Belize, go with 5 Star Cave Tubing and Adventures with Kenton as your tour guide! From our cruise ship on the way to shore, we had no idea what to do besides the other excursions we heard about such as cave tubing. On the ferry toward the Island, the boater said it was too late (it was 1 pm) to go cave tubing so that was a deflator.
We abhor the absurd prices the cruise lines offer for excursions so we always look for independent excursion services and tour guides to save half or more. You save $ this route if you can find a good deal and tour service. Plus, my wife and I enjoy blessing the independent companies and working man. There’s a sense of purpose when you support their aspirations. After getting past a couple of offers, we found a quiet guy holding up a sign of the name recommended by the boater. He introduces us to his boss who promised to get us going on time to enjoy the excursion and back (4 hours). The boss then introduces us to the tour guide, Kenton, a tall man with long dread locks. In hindsight, I’m surprised how fast the agreement happened but I’m glad we did.
Kenton was outgoing, informative and proud of his country. We enjoyed the scenery of the locals. A taxi driver doesn’t care about the scenic route, he just wants to get you there. A good tour guide who happens to be driving is sharing his culture along the way and takes you through neighborhoods. The drive towards the river and rain forests is under an hour and Kenton preps you and reminds you it is not a tour but an adventure. His personality makes you comfortable.
Make sure you bring water shoes; crocs are better because you don’t feel the rocks as much on the path. You won’t need to dry much after the adventure; wetness is minimal. Everything was included in the $$$ agreement so we weren’t taken by surprise by “Oh, you have to pay to get in here” or some last minute information some companies omit from the beginning. When you go ANYWHERE, ask your tour guide/excursion dude what the fare includes and if there is anything else that needs to be paid for before you agree. Kenton is, by far, the best tour guide we’ve had out of many places we’ve been to BECAUSE he participated in the excursion and was involved the entire time. He didn’t send you off with another attendant. We walked through the rain forest pathway and he told you everything about the species of trees and animals that inhabit the land. He showed us different landscapes, ants carrying leaves, outer caves and cute fruit bats that look like mice with wings.
I ate insects (termites) for the first time! When you are adverse to eating bugs and your tour guide doesn’t even have to convince to try it, you got a good guide. It was about a half hour walk by the time we arrive at the river point. Kenton was very helpful to me and my family with our gear. The water is very cool. The caves were amazing, even in the dark; like a screen saver on your PC. Kenton pours out more nature information and most of the time was in the water directing our tubes in the right direction of the moving waters.
As promised, we returned to the port on time and made sure we got Kenton’s contact info. I wasn’t sure what to think of Belize in the beginning and now and I want to come back to enjoy whatever else we didn’t get to do so we have reasons to come back. It’s awesome when you have a tour guide that enjoys what he’s doing and wants you happy. Kenton repeatedly said he wanted us to have a great time and we did. Many tour guides (Alert::Cozumel::Alert) have gotten too comfortable to care about your experience but not these guys. Remember the name and the company “5 Star Cave Tubing and Adventures”. They’re worth every star and penny.

I brought my friends to Belize for the first time and we went ATV riding through the jungle and Cave Tubing. Kenton was the best tour guide we could have asked for. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the jungle as well as the caves. We had an amazing time and would recommend this tour to anyone!

Our cruise ship docked at Belize City. The crew that I was with were of all different ages and ranged from 20 something to senior age, seven people in total. None of us really had any plans for the day, we just set out for an adventure. We came across Myles the manager and he offered to take our group on a city tour to see the sites. He was very professional and kind, and most importantly HONEST. We got in a very clean air conditioned van and we met out tour guide Keyton. Who was the best tour guide, he was very charming and knowledgeable. He took us to see all the Belize City. Not just the tourist spots. When we come back to Belize I would look this company up again... next time CAVE TUBING!
