We went on the Manatee watching/canopy boat tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and super-friendly. He pointed out a lot of historical highlights for us, so we learned a good deal wout the history of Belize. The boat was small, so we didn't disturb the Manatees like large boats do. We were able to sit and wait for them to come to us! This was a great tour and we definitely recommend it!

Booked a 2-tank dive with Sea Sports because our cruise did not have a dive excursion there. They obviously have done this a lot. The process is very efficient. They send you a detailed, two page set of instructions. You get there, check-in, show your dive license, gear up and go. We went out beyond the barrier islands to where the reef drops off. The divemaster had a writing board to describe the corals and sea life. Between dives, they had a delicious sandwich, chips and a drink. On the second dive, we saw a 6-8 foot moray eel. I have dove for over 40 years; this was one of the best.

We had already chosen Sea Sports Belize for our diving while on a Ponant cruise, but luckily, Ponant also chose them to lead all of the Belize dives, so we got the bonus of having the dive boat tender directly to our ship -- a huge time savings.

We enjoyed diving with Rondel, Emerson and Jose on the Barrier Reef and Lighthouse Reef Atoll (plus Great Blue Hole).

Really enjoyed the diving and the company and would be happy to choose them again.

Had a great time with Sea Sports - reefs were alive and well, instructor (FishID specialty) was great, nice boat, easy arrangements via email - but for the surface interval.
There are a lot of mangrove islands/islets in the area; we stopped at one for our surface interval. See the first photo below; it looks like a beautiful place. Then look at the second photo; this was 10-15 feet from where I was standing when I took the first one. Unbelievable!
I suggested to the boat crew and my dive mates that Sea Sports facilitate a cleanup. Hand out some bags and let us pick up this junk. Everyone agreed with the idea, but it will only happen if the local shops facilitate.
Sea Sports, I had a great time, but we can make it even better.

Everything was my favorite! Linda, who I made my reservation with online, was a great communicator. Our dive master, I've already forgotten his name - Linda please remind me, and our boat captain Jamal (JBonz???) were more like old friends than people we just met. They took us right in with friendly faces and an easy sense of humor.

My relationship with them was important to me, because I was doing my first two dives after getting my OWC two weeks before in Colorado. I was extremely nervous! They were the perfect ones to be with to quell my apprehension. The dive briefs were clear and to the point, everything was explained clearly. I felt prepared to go into the water when it was time. I stayed right with the dive master during the dive - he was amazingly gracious and patient with me. And he made everything look so easy!

I hope to return to BC again to dive. Sea Sports Belize is now my go-to for myself and any travel clients I send to Belize.

We arrived on the Carnival Spirit cruise ship and walked 2 blocks to the dive shop. Seasports Belize was great! Our divemaster Samantha was excellent. Great dive operation for cruise ship excursions. Cindy and I were the only two divers that day. I thought they would cancel the dive, but we went anyway. I'm glad they didn't cancel the dive. We enjoyed both dives and they even provided lunch. I can recommend SeaSports for a great DIY cruise ship excursion.

One of our cruise ships port of call was Belize City. We did not book our diving excursion through the ship since they are typically overpriced and overfilled. We had contacted a local dive shop, Sea Sports Belize, and arranged a day of diving. They are one block from the port of call dock so very close! 2 of the 4 divers had accidently left their dive cards on the ship. The staff were very friendly and gladly looked them up no problem. We were the only 4 customers on the dive boat and had 3 other staff diving with us. We were taken to beautiful waters away from the scuba diving/snorkling masses that booked through the cruise ship. Dives were very good and the staff made sure we were safe at all times. We were taken to a fisherman's island and had lunch (included) between dives. It was great to explore and take a quick break. Once we were done they took us through the mangroves to look for manatees! Once we got back and had a chance to wash off our gear/change clothes, they took us back by boat to the dock and even recommended a place to get some local food. I would highly recommend Sea Belize Sports to anyone coming in from a cruise ship to Belize City that wants to scuba dive.

Seasports' motto is "we do it with love" but should also add " and have a lot of fun doing it!" We recently went to Belize and dove with them. It was the most memorial experience i have had diving yet. What made me choose them was the fact they are a smaller operator and I have found the non-cattle boat shops give a more relaxed intimate experience. Plus, there isnt a herd of divers running into each other and scaring way all the wildlife. Seasports fit this bill perfectly. We had 7 people at the most on both days of diving and the atmosphere was like a bunch of friends going out to dive.
Dont belive because they are a smaller operator you will gert less than first rate service. They were extremely professional and conscientious about safety. Their equipment was in excellant shape...not ratty, leaking crap. The staff was courteous and knowledgable and eager to share their country's underwater treasures with you. They did things that went above and beyond what most operators offer. One day we had lunch on a small island which itself was a real photo opportunity. The next day we had more time so we fished during our surface interval and caught barracuda. The fish would hit the lure and John, the owner, would check the pole and then ask who wanted to bring it in. The huge smile on his face just showed he does love what he is doing and equally geta real kick out of sharing it with others. The coolest thing they did was when we came upon 7 spotted dolphins on the way home from the dive. Most operator would simply point them out..."Look. Dolphins!" and keep making a beeline back to port. Paul, the captian told us to hold tight and piloted the boat in circles to make some high waves. The dolphins had a field day jumping through them playing...what a treat to watch. Then he powered down the boat and the dolphins come close to investigate us. As we were busy watching them swim by and trying to capture it on film we heard a splash. John had snagged his mask and fins and was over the side. "Come in and get some real good pictures. That was all we needed. Everyone scrambled for masks and fins was over the side for one of the most awesome experiences I have ever had. I got great video and pics and spent 20 minutes or so in a close encounter with some of the coolest creatures. I cant say this what you can expect everytime...getting people back to their cruise ships might prevent some extra cirricular stuff. A lot of things in diving happen by chance...seeing dolphins, sharks, etc., but the one thing you dont have to gamble on is having a great time with Seasports. If you love what you do you will have a great time and they most certainly do...both! So, if you are heading to Belize and will e in the vicinity where you can dive with them, do yourself a favor and drop them a line. You may just have the best time of you life.

Our cruise had a scheduled stop in Belize so I contacted Sea Sports to coordinate a dive for my family of three, PADI certified, over 40 dives. I was given instructions for our arrival. Upon arriving at the dive shop we filled out necessary forms and waited another 45-60 min. My wife and I have our own equipment, my son required a BCD and was issued one. We were then grouped with a family completing their Certification dives. The boat looked like a fishing boat with tanks in back and under seats, not rigged for a dive boat. Our group was my family of three, another couple and a single diver and dive master. The other group was the new divers and their dive master. It was a choppy 35 min ride to dive location. My son experienced problems with the BCD they issued him, it would not inflate , told the dive master, but was told he was over inflating, the BCD was OK so they put him in the water. Because of the boat size they had to put one diver at a time into the water, which took over 25 minutes. Once in the water my son again told them the BCD would not inflate, so they had to pull him out of the water change over his equipment, which took another 15 minutes. Add the time over 40 min before we start descent. Now the location they chose was suitable for the cert dive, but NOT for experienced divers. It was shallow, murky, dead coral. We did reach clear water but only spent 5 minutes there then transitioned back to murky water for the return to boat. BAD DIVE MURKY NO FISH DEAD CORAL. We then went to shore for lunch, wasted over 90 min, then had to delay for weather. They got impatient and took us out into the thunder storm, had to stop twice for heavy rain. By the time we arrived at dive location we did not have time for a second dive, and a 35 min boat ride back and make our last tinder back to the ship. I asked for a refund, the manager was very rude and condescending, and was told no as he laughed saying it was due to weather. BUT it was the wasted time that was the cause, not to mention they gave my 17 year old son a bad BCD, my son with over 40 dives was told it was good, but then proved BAD. The shop chose to group us with inexperienced divers and took us to a poor location. This dive experience was a waste of money and time. When I return to Belize I will NOT use this dive shop, nor will any of the people with us.

You can feel totally comfortable booking a dive with this company. There shop is within walking distance of the port where NC L cruises tender to shore. There equipment is good.
