Jeremy gave us an experience we will never forget. We were picked up right as we arrived from the water taxi and taken first to Xunantunich. It was ~ a 2 hour scenic drive and one hand-crank powered river ferry ride to get there. Then we drove half way back ~1h and stopped for lunch at a great little restaurant. The park for the cave tubing is gated and guarded and the vendors are great. Don't miss out on the pineapple drink. It was ~25 - 30min walk to the cave with 3 small river crossings. Two at knee depth and one at low chest height. At the end of the tour we floated back to the first crossing so the walk back is much shorter. Jeremy got us back to the water taxi with time to spare and showed us all a great time. I can't recommend this experience enough.

It was about an hour long ride in a van, which was well narrated most of the way; Nelson drove and Abner narrated. Once at the site, we were outfitted with flotation devices, lighted helmets and an oar for each person kayaking; and then set off on foot along a scenic path en route to the kayak entry point. The walk was amazing, beautiful! Abner stopped several times to point out the various trees and plants indigenous to the region. Warning: you will get wet. Recommend you wear clothes you can get wet and/or a change of clothes. But it was all well worth it as the caves were absolutely amazing! Special thanks to Abner for taking excellent care of us through all of the caves and Nelson for getting us back to the landing on time.

We loved this tour - our boat of 6 was the only set of visitors the day we went, which is great for photos but terrible for the locals. This is truly an amazing sight - it’s a nice slow 1-2mi walk where you get to see 4 sets of ruins of various sizes. Having the place to ourselves was amazing, but I hope this place gets more visitors soon. Recommend bringing extra cash for gratuity and supporting the tourism economy (though definitely not required!). Getting there is also half the adventure - a fun boat ride where we saw bats, crocodiles, and plenty of birds. Just remember to bring bug repellent. We had plenty and we were still heavily distracted by bugs.

My husband and I absolutely loved this experience. Abner and Nelson were our guides, they are amazing, knowledgeable, and operate safely. The scenery and views we got to see were things I only expected to view in a movie during my lifetime, simply breathtaking. I highly recommend booking this tour and you want to go through V.I.V for experienced and safe guides. The value is unbeatable. Ask for Abner or Nelson, you won't be disappointed.
