A one hour bus ride through Belize into the hills brings you to a series of caves with a slow-moving river flowing through. A guide helps you don a helmet complete with headlight and you ease your tube into the cool water as they narrate about the Mayan history of the caves. Booking an organized tour enables participants a shorter... More

Booked this tour through our cruise ship. Although I'm glad I experienced this unique adventure, I have to say for an all day trip, I was a bit disappointed. The drive time was about 1.5 hours each direction. The "jungle trek" was a twenty minute walk through a secondary rain forest carrying your tube wearing your life vest and helmet.... More

I think this is one of my favorite cruise excursions. I'm a little uncomfortable with closed in spaces and darkness, but I had read other reviews and thought this was worth trying. I am so glad we did! There are no docks for the ships in Belize, so you have to take the tenders. The tender ride is about 20... More

My best friend and I celebrated my birthday with a cruise to the Western Caribbean, including a stop in Belize. We def didn't do much research about the port stop or excursions. After some walking around at the port, we found a tour company. We got a great deal (the best of the day we were told...$45 for Crystal Cave... More

A long bus ride full of history and folk lore eventually led us to the jungle. We were outfitted with tubes, helmets and head lamps and walked to the put-in place up river. Our guide described local plants and jungle stories and led us through the stalactite filled caves. Our tubes were lashed together and the (cool) water carried us... More

We took this excursion off the NCL Getaway. Due to shallow waters, ships anchor 5-6 miles offshore. Tender to shore takes about 1/2 hour and the the bus ride is about 1 1/2 hours each way. Easy walk to caves takes about 20 min. Float trip through the caves takes about an hour. Very unique experience. The caves are very... More

Took our grandson with us on a cruise over spring break and we took this excursion, we had a 75 minute bus ride to the area! Bus was air conditioned, which was good! Our guide was excellent! Once there they fit you with water shoes, than you walk about a mile and half to the stream where you do the... More

Took the tubing and trek tour as part of our Princess cruise. The bus ride out and back is a bit of a haul at over an hour each way but the guides did a nice job telling us about the country of Belize and the lifestyle. Thoroughly enjoyed the tubing through the cave and while the trek was more... More

We took this excursion as part of our cruise last week. Ships cannot dock in Belize due to shallow waters but the boat that transferred us was easy and fun! Our tour guide, Sharon, was so pleasant and knowledgeable about Belize. We even learned some Kriol! She made us feel so welcome in her country! We carried our tubes on... More
