Sitting right on the edge of the docks one can find everything you want from shopping, food and tours of the country. Security is everywhere here so one is safe to walk around or just sit and enjoy the view of the water. Got most...More
When on a cruise, this is where you enter Belize. Some really nice bars and souvenir shops with something for everyone. I bought a fake pair of Ray Bans and a Belize license plate for $10 bucks. Score! This is also where you catch rides...More
You pass through the village when you disembark from the cruise. There was a lot of interesting items and the prices were very reasonable. There were some very interesting T-shirts and hoodies with unique slogans on them but you have to take the time to...More
We usually wouldn't spend time at a spot like this, but the weather prevented us from our planned day trip adventure. There happened to be 4 cruise ships in port at the time, so we went down to see what it was all about. Excellent...More
Belize, what can I say. Absolutely, my favorite vacation to date. Only, spent a little while amongst the locals but felt right at home. People make the country. Friendly. Happy to share their culture, food, and drink. I can not wait to go back for...More

Very close - you are basically in the area when you arrive. Talk to the people around the ticket booth. Very helpful. Careful of all the people selling stuff. Most are good but keep your wits. You will be fine. Nice place.

Anyone can access the shopping port area. It does seem to blend in with the the other buildings though. There are several entrances/exits. We even shopped and had our hair braided in the bus unloading lot. I believe the easiest way to find it is to follow the ocean sidewalk and once you pass the colorful BELIZE sign, know that you aren't to far away. We did some shopping at the Zoo gift shop. The Rum was $6 a bottle (750ml) and quite tasty. Other than that the city tour didn't seem to highlight any other shopping areas. Hope this helps!
