Although the tubing was relaxing, the water was so low that it wasn’t really tubing. The guide was great, but she had to pull us the whole way. It was so low that your bottom would drag on rocks. If you go make sure the water is higher. Then, maybe it will be actual tubing.

Arrived at Nohoch with no prebooked tour. We were able to get a guide for $30US each including equipment. Guide was knowledgeable and the experience was great!

This was a fantastic experience. For those who have their own transportation you can drive to the spot and find a guide when you arrive- super easy and gives you a private tour!

Ziplining with Elmer and Osman was so much fun! They made sure safety was the top priority but also had lots of fun! Beautiful site to see on the 7 lines!
Victor did an amazing job guiding the cave tubing. He took the time to point out lots of information about the plants especially the cashew trees, pineapples, and leaf cutter ants. Very fun and informative!

We rented float tubes for a pleasant ride through this extensive network of caves. Carrying the tubes, we walked for about 30 minutes to get to our launch point and then floated on this underground river for about 40 minutes. We had a guide that provided botanical information while walking and was also informative about the cave itself. The water was cool, but not cold. The most scenic part of the ride was passing a cenote that needs to be in a painting. The light streaming in and the plants growing underground made a very pretty sight.

We had a fantastic time and were very relaxed. Our guide Avery was entertaining and informative. We broke the tour through our hotel. We were driven there and met our guide. Wear swim clothes and they have changing rooms and restrooms at the parking lot. We walked about 20 min to the cave wearing a lifevest and carrying a huge tube along with headlamp. We crossed multiple times across the same river which was very shallow. We sat on our tube and Avery guided us through the river and pointed out all the formations. He is definitely someone I would recommend as he was very friendly and put alot of effort in the tour. We were only 3 of us other tours had 8-10 people in the tube. After we went through the cave we continued our tubing expedition down river and that was a blissful experience. Definitely ask for that ride down river plus tube in the cave. My son swam the whole way and loved it. This is completely different and less strenuous from ATM tour. Its a must do.

This was the highlight of our Belize vacation. It was so unique and enjoyable for my family (kids 18 and 10). The water is crystal clear and refreshing on a hot day. Being inside the caves feels adventurous but not scary at all. The staff and vendors are all friendly and restroom facilities are clean and well kept. We booked a tour guide and the added information he provided made a great experience excellent.

Our family of four including a teenage daughter and son had a wonderful time cave tubing here.

You must hire, and do the tubing, with a guide in this national reserve. Our guide, Walter, was simply wonderful, helpful, and full of information. Highly recommended.

The tour involves walking a mostly-flat distance through the forest and crossing a couple shallow streams. Distance walked depends on the length of the tubing tour you have booked. Plan on anything you bring with you getting wet. You will need water shoes such as sandals with a heel etc. (plastic sandals that will do are available for sale at one of the small tourist retail counters). We are not aware of any place to leave valuables and personal items, so you have to either leave them in your vehicle or not bring them to begin with.

The fee you pay the guide includes the tube, headlight, lifejacket and guide. For a group, the tubes clip together, along with the guide’s tube.

On our walk to where the tubing begins, Walter showed us many interesting plants and wildlife from allspice to withering mimosa to leaf cutter ants and tiny termites that taste like fresh carrots!

The water is cool and fresh and never moves particularly fast. The setting is utterly beautiful in a lush forest. We felt safe at all times.

The caves are long and dark. I have quite mild claustrophobia and never felt closed in. You can see bats sleeping on the ceiling far above, and we never encountered any spiders, scorpions or other critters. Just a lazy river experience inside ancient caves!

There is a small restaurant on the site with excellent BBQ chicken and friendly staff.

My husband and I stopped at Nohoch on our way back to Belize City after spending time in Mountain Pine Ridge. It was a perfect transition from the jungle to our final destination on Caye Caulker. We drove right up to the gate and got Edwin as our guide and basically had a private tour. He was awesome, with a great personality and lots of in-depth knowledge of the caves and area. We did the extended tour of all the caves and I'm so glad we opted for that, it was a truly magical and peaceful experience!

$5US per person to enter and then $50US per person for a guide and equipment adds up for five people. A family of five pays $275US while it only costs a couple $110US for the same guide. Our guide (Edwin) did an excellent job. He made the experience very interesting. We were there for 150 minutes - 30 minutes getting ready, 30 minutes hiking 45 minutes in the cave and 30 minutes floating the river. That's the basic 90 minute tour.
