I booked this as part of my Norwegian cruise. I loved it! We took a bus ride/tour to get there from the port. I learned a lot about Belize on the way! We took a wonderful boat ride to the ruin site. We stopped to look at wildlife, & some Amish kids who were fishing along the banks! The ruins... More

Elvis Usher is the BEST tour guide I have ever met. We booked this tour through carnival a little skeptical at first, but I am glad we did!! We were met at port by Elvis and taken to a bus was a 1 Hour Dr. into the jungle and then a 30 minute boat ride to the ruins. The whole... More

We booked this excursion through our cruise line, and thought these ruins were great! (Much better than Tulum ruins in Mexico) The ruins were awesome, great for pictures, and you were allowed to climb all the way to the top of the largest temple. The negative is the length of time it takes you to get there. You tinder from... More

Having the right tour guide is so important to making this trip worthwhile. We were staying on Caye Caulker and booked the Lamanai River tour through Tsunami Tours. We took the ferry then the hour van ride and ended up at Reyes and sons. Amir was our guide and there were four of us. I told him I was a... More

Half the adventure is getting there and back. We opted for 30+ minute plane ride non stop from San Pedro to Orange Walk on Maya Air. Seemed like a charter since it was just the 5 of us on a 7 seater. Picked up at air strip by our guide with an old van. Less than 10 minute easy ride... More

We were on an NCL cruise and booked with Lamanai Belize Tours on our own. This family run operation of 4 brothers are of Mayan ancestry. Our guide, Javier, was very friendly and had an excellent working knowledge of the area and the ruins. The excursion included a very nice lunch of chicken, beans, rice, slaw, plantains, fresh fruit and... More

First, you take about an hour long river cruise to the ancient Mayan City of Lamanai. Your tour guide will point out interesting things along the away, including a howler monkey that come out for bananas. There are crocodiles in the river and we got to see one! Once you arrive to the site, prepare for a 2 hour trek... More
