David was great! We saw Altun Ha ruins followed by cave tubing. We beat the main groups of tours to the ruins, which was awesome. We have a photo without anyone else in it! For the cave tubing portion, everyone else we saw was carrying their own tubes on the hike to the river, but we didn't have to carry ours. Lunch was at David and his wife's own restaurant, and the food was phenomenal. Strongly recommend this tour group/company, as it was completely private to our little group of four, and while we saw touristy type sites, it felt like with David, we got to see and experience a bit of true Belize still as well. Only note is that it was a bit unclear how to find him upon arrival in the cruise port/terminal. It turned out that we had to exit through Terminal 1, though I don't know if that is always the one they meet you outside of. Once we got that figured out, everything was very easy and smooth sailing!

So much to say about our favorite day. David was referred to us by my sister who loved their tour. They couldn't say enough about David. We had the pleasure of having Oscar as our guide. Amber also with us as she was a super facilitator of our day. Oscar was very knowledgable and knew everything about everything. He was easy to talk to and was extra helpful in our extra needs. They were both mindful of our travel contraints and were accommodating. Lunch was super yummy which is their family business. The zoo was so much fun. Oscar knew so much about the history of the animals and park. The cave tubing was the best. We were able to explore behind the scenes and do some extra swimming. The day was perfect. I hope to send plenty more people back to them. Best day ever...

David makes the event special with his storytelling, knowledge of the area and country plus his infectious laugh ! The walk through the forest to the caves was informative and the tubing was superb. The other guide along with tour was Marek who stayed back with one person in the party who had a bad knee and stayed with him throughout so that he received special attention. This has to be the best tour group for this type of event... hands down ! Great job David. BTW we stopped at David's restaurant on the way to the airport for some Fry Jacks for the flight back to Canada and they were amazing ! Worth a stop on your travels.

(We actually met David at the turn off to the cave tubing since we had a rental car.) From the moment we met him, David had us rolling laughing!! He is hilarious and entertaining but kind and takes it all at whatever speed you want! We had 4 adults, all very active. It was all really easy activity wise. We did the zip-lining first and that was pretty cool! I’ve def done more impressive zip lines but the jungle scenery and going across the river and hearing howler monkeys in the distance was a really cool way to do zip lines!! The morpho blue butterfly house was a super cool unexpected extra I loved!! Then we headed up to cave tube- David had someone carry our tubes up and inflate them for us. Almost every other group was carrying their tubes themselves. That was just a really cool perk. It left us free to have a rock skipping competition with David (he is a pro at that by the way). And we could stop and check out all the cool plants (Venus fly trap type ferns, Mayan makeup leaves, thick vines we could climb) and see lots of cool animals (a snake, leaf cutter ants, ate some termites 😜, saw the lizards that can run on water- and so much more!) Anyways- David gave us the A+++ tour and took us to a cool cliff jumping spot and let us climb up a little waterfall and just so many cool extras- I watched all the other guides- and ours was like a million times more fun and gave us such better experience. Other guides would make their groups walk through some sections that David would still just pull us through- I kid you not we got 10 times the tour that these other people got!! Seriously- we shopped around and Cave Tubing R Us was the lowest price we found that offered everything we wanted. And I promise we got the best experience of ANYONE else we saw that day!!! (Also- do your favor and check out Fu Wi Flavaz on the highway between Belize City and Belmopan. (David and his wife run it). Guys- I kid you not- the most DELICIOUS food ever!!! Their stuffed fry jack was legit the best food we had for the 10 days we were in Belize!! We almost rented a car just to drive back in on the day we were heading to the airport but we ran out of time- it’s seriously that good!!! Yummmmm!!!!) But bringing it back- David was the best guide we had our whole 10 day trip in Belize!! Do yourself a favor and just go with cave tubing r us. It was our very favorite choice for tour company and guides our whole trip!!!!

Highly recommend this company for ANY tours in Belize!!! - I was a bit leery at first, but after our trip I cannot say enough good things about this tour and guides. David Almendariz and Josh were excellent. We had a group of 15 (6 adults and 9 children ages 16-22) on a Carnival Cruise and decided to take this tour in Belize on June 19, 2019. Dave and Josh met us at the port on time and we took off on our adventure to the caves. On the way to the caves David stopped by a local house that sold fruit- (mango's) and purchased some for us. It was the best!!! We then stopped by a restaurant to place our food order. I ll provide more details later on the food. Once we got to the caves David and Josh guided us through the hiking portion and educated us on the animals, trees, bugs and history. The cave tubing was relaxing and beautiful. The experience was amazing! After the cave tour we stopped at the restaurant for a late lunch. The local food and hospitality was excellent!! Take a risk and try the mixed plate - it was all great!. After we ate David and josh drove us back to port. This experience was the best of our four port stops(Grand Cayman- Roatan-Belize-Cozumel). David is an excellent host and guide and our kids loved Josh. The cave tubing trip could have been just a good trip in itself. However, David provided us with a personal tour suited for what we wanted and it was the best. I highly recommend Cave Tubing Rus and Davids team!!
