After a less than satisfying “snorkeling” trip, I was referred to Salt Life by my favorite bartender on the isle. Daniel, Kyle, and Raheem ( silent Jim) all conspired to show me the best possible time after a last second booking. They booked me as a solo passenger for 5 spots of snorkeling. Raheem and Kyle took me out for about 3 hours. Plenty of life vests on board. Fruit snacks. Cooler with ice for my beers. They had diving gear and in better order than mine. I only used my diving booties to prevent blisters. I used their mask, snorkel, and fins. Safe, gracious, focused and kind. I truly appreciated these guys making time and effort for my convenience. Kyle got in the water with me and escorted me about a deep reef and pointed out everything and discussed it at surface. The deeper reef had way more to see than the shallow reef. We are comparing 20 ft to 5 ft here. Drag about a flotation device for comfort if you need to rest. Turns outs the waters are calmer about 10 AM. So, embrace the mid day snorkel. These guys respect the environment and promote eco-tourism. Support them.
