Finally! We are home to the USA. At the last minute we (wife & I) said we deserved a long weekend to ourselves. Ambergris Caye, San Pedro was our destination. Having a friend that has a condo there all that was missing was transportation. A neighbor suggested Carts Belize. We called, rented a cart, they delivered a clean/polished two seater within an hour. Heading north (over the bridge) my wife pulled over onto a grassy spot and ran over a broken beer bottle. I called Carts Belize and in a short period of time they delivered a new cart to us. Later that evening wife and I went out for dinner and we missed placed the keys, how embarrassing, again we called Carts Belize, an hour later one of their employees found us (at the restaurant) and handed us a second set of keys. These people at Carts Belize were so nice to us. We will someday soon go to Belize again and without hesitation we will again rent our transportation from Carts Belize.

This was our 4th annual trip to San Pedro for the JJW Camp Belize event. We always stay at Sun Breeze and generally have rented a golf cart on a daily basis as needed. This trip there would be three couples and we decided it would be handy to have the cart available full time without the hassell of the rental process any day we needed it. So after some research and checking with Sun Breeze, we decided on Carts Belize, which has a location right next door to the hotel. Sun Breeze made the reservation for a six-seater cart and we paid the rental (reasonable rate for the week, we thought) with our Sun Breeze room/tropic air payment. When we arrived, the Carts Belize guy brought the rental documentation and key to us at the hotel and went over the attributes of the cart and terms of rental in detail. All good. Cart ran well and drove well, only thing would have been nice to have power steering, but don't think any of the carts have that. Coming back to hotel late at night, something on the axle of the driver side front wheel broke with a loud bang! Limped on and parked in the street behind the hotel. Asked the Sun Breeze desk to please contact Carts Belize about the problem (we were leaving early the next morning on a mainland excursion). When we returned the next afternoon about 5 pm, the cart was repaired, parked in front of the hotel, with the key left a the hotel desk. We thought that was excellent service! We will rent from Carts Belize again on our next trip to San Pedro!

We were met at our resort less than 30 mins after our arrival by the rep from Carts Belize, who gave me the run down on the cart, went over the operating procedures, and turn in instructions. The cart performed perfectly for the whole time we were there and we found that we were so glad to have it available whenever we needed it. Thanks Carts Belize.

Totally ripped off. Go elsewhere, there are so many other cart companies in San Pedro.
Asked for an extra 2 hours and was charged 23 dollars. Typical of out experience of Belize - ripped off wherever we went - shan't return or recommend the country. They appear to be trying to recoup their lost Covid earnings from the few visitors who are brave enough to travel and all for some awful seaweedy smelly un-swimmable beaches!

Well let us just say this place is the last place I would ever use again. In fact to be honest I would rent a bicycle before renting a golf cart here. Our cart had an accident the front passenger side bolt connected to the steering column broke. Our cart flipped and my family was injured badly. Road rash broken ribs, broken nose. The cart place says it is only our fault. No emotions for the way my daughter or wife looks from a part that broke on their machine. When you rent something you put trust in a business to take care of you and your family. This place didnt even say sorry it happened. Rent a bike or pay someone to drive you before renting from here.

We are surprised to find that you state that you would not rent from Carts Belize when in fact you chose immediately after the accident to rent another cart from us again which you kept until the end of your rental period rather than choosing a different golf cart company instead.
Unfortunately the facts that you are describing are not an accurate record of what occurred. As per the admission of the driver, he was "driving fast around a curve on the way back from Secret Beach and hit a rock and I tipped the cart". In the two initial phone calls, to the reservations office as well as to the manager, the caller/driver reported no injuries as having occurred, and in fact only asked for another golf cart to be delivered. Despite your statements that the golf carts are not good, your party still elected to take another cart from our company and in fact kept the replacement cart rather than choosing to take a golf cart from a different golf cart company or to take a taxi instead. The manager did go to the police station to report the accident and was informed by the police that this was a civil matter - the police did not take statements, or make a report, and elected not to come out and see the golf cart damages which would have been welcomed and appreciated by Carts Belize. A careful inspection of the golf cart, which is backed up by photographs taken, reveal that the damages to the cart are consistent with a high speed impact. There is no evidence whatsoever of anything mechanical having been the cause of this accident.
The laws of Belize prohibit drinking and driving as well as speeding, which is the same as in any other country.
We are sorry that an injury occurred in this case, however as your initial two phone calls you did not report any injuries we were not aware at that time that this was the situation. Your parents made it very clear, in the most vociferous manner accompanied by swearing, threatening and screaming, to our Belizean reservation staff, that you were going to destroy the Carts Belize business and we see that you have taken to Google to report a multitude of defamatory statements and reports including reports by persons who were not at the scene of the accident and most likely not even in Belize. It is most regrettable that you suffered an injury due to an accident in which a member of your family was operating a vehicle however the attempt to blame others rather than take responsibility for your own actions is reprehensible. The golf cart has been badly damaged, for which you were responsible, as per the contract which you signed however again you have refused to take responsibility for your actions and have put a stop on your credit card in order to evade the charges.

Nothing wrong with the $45 a day price tag (TBH I had run out of steam looking) so went with it. Cart was a bit heavy and thirsty but generally OK. But then I aasked for a 2hrs (yes 2hrs) extension....no problem, so I drove off! However, he then hit me with an extra $23 bill.....for 2hrs! DO YOUTSELF A FAVOUR AND GO ELSEWHERE!

I would absolutely refer people to rent golf cart's from this company. They came and dropped it off at the hotel upon arrival, and picked it up when we left. They showed me where I was supposed to park according to the rules with the resort and how to operate, lock, etc. They even provided a map of the island with local restaurants and other important things listed on it. The cart was on the newer side, ran well, and was clean.
Additionally, if you needed anything they had an emergency number and their store front is right across from the local airport.

The carts are well maintained and they are very prompt in delivering the cart to our condo. They work very hard to make sure that you have a good experience. I have used them several times over the past several years and they have consistently taken good care of us.
I highly recommend using this company over the others.

You need a cart in Ambergris Caye, and after a lot of research, Carts Belize offered the best deal. Easy to work with, too. When my wife and I go back, we’ll use CB again. Hopefully that will be soon!!

Have used CartsBelize forever. Convenience is top notch (some are harder to find/get) and carts are in great shape (and easy to find cause of the color). But the amazing thing is their customer service. Had an issue one time and they came found us and gave us a new cart within 15 minutes. This trip the manager noticed a flat on our tire and sent his guy to change the tire. We were eating breakfast and about to catch our flight. We had no idea until we showed up as he was changing it. If he hadn’t done that, we might have missed our flights. How awesome!

How close to tropic air is the carts belize pickup. We have never been to ambergris. Will we have any problems getting from airport to captain morgans in cart? Or should we take taxi to resort and have cart delivered. We are pretty adventurous but will have 3 of us with dive gear etc. Any advice appreciated. We will also be there during the Easter holiday. How busy will it be?

We stayed at Grand Caribe and they had transport come and pick us up at the airport which was a good idea because I don't think we'd have enjoyed navigating the streets straight off our flight. Carts Belize delivered the cart and took a lot of time explaining to us how to use it, gave us a map and a lot of useful general info. They are great. Not sure how busy it will be over Easter as we were there in off season and the town was pretty busy.

1. Is there a "deposit hold" charged with the rental that isn't included in the total price quote?
2. Can my girlfriend drive the cart when I'm not using it?

I don't think there was a "deposit hold" - you should ask them to be sure. We rented two carts for our party of 6 and we could all drive the cart if we wanted to. However, we ended up just having one person drive each cart as they got used to the traffic, roads and one way streets so it was just easier - the one way streets were a bit confusing at first.
