SeaStar Belize is a full service dive and tour operator. We specialize in personalized scuba diving along the barrier reef in Belize, including the outer atolls. We are a PADI staffed full service dive instruction center. We also staff some of the best fishermen in Belize and offer outstanding fishing services. Our mainland excursions are educational and fun. Our motto is "get wet, get salty."

Anyone and everyone that is on the island of San Pedro, Belize and want to have the BEST experience snorkeling, fishing, diving or other FUN in the sun and water, I highly recommend booking with SeaStar Belize as you will not be disappointed. You will get the best memories that you can take with you for a lifetime!!! They truly are a #1 class company that prides themselves on making sure you have the BEST memories created for you, your family and friends.
Chino (dive master) along with his team will not disappoint you! He is so knowledgeable and points out the smallest creatures in the ocean that you would only hope and pray to see!
We will definitely be back to see them time and time again!!

We went on two excursions through SeaStar and were pleased with both. The first was the Hol Chan and SharkRay Alley snorkeling trip with Jerry as our guide. Henry was thorough and a terrific guide. He knew all the types of fish and pointed out fish and manta rays as we went along.
Second trip was a reef fishing/Bacalar Chico snorkeling trip with Jerry and Fedo (Pedo?) (I am not sure what his name was...). Both of this guys appeared to love their job which made it more fun for us. On the way out to the fishing spot, we were surrounded by dolphins which both our guides had been watching for they let us enjoy some time in the middle of the pod. They helped us catch some nice fish and we each caught a barracuda. The beach picnic and the marine center was terrific. We had time to walk around a bit while lunch (our catch) was prepared with fresh vegetables. Delicious! On our way home, they took us around the 'back' side of the Caye and continued sharing their knowledge of the Caye, wildlife, and history. Cerviche was prepared for us in the afternoon (again, with our catch) and it was excellent. Our compliments to both guides on this day.
Last, but not least, is Fatima in the SeaStar office, who booked the excursions for us. She was professional and never appeared annoyed by how many times we asked the same questions. Great group to work with and we will definitely use SeaStar when we return to San Pedro next year.

Seastar Belize gave us the best diving experience we could have ever dreamed. The great experience started before our vacation when we were communicating with Doug and Lia to set up our dives during our stay on Ambergris Caye. We dove with Big Joe, Jerry and Chino. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, dependable and made us feel safe and in good hands. We had some of our own equipment that we felt comfortable and safe leaving with them from one day to the next. They came and picked us up at our resort every time we went diving with them and then dropped us off "at home" afterwards. We truly appreciated that on top of all the knowledge and experiences they shared with us. Big Joe and Chino know all of the good spots, know where to look for marine life you never even heard about and they go the extra mile to show them to you and educate you about them. On one of our dives we had an inexperienced diver with us, and Chino took great care of her and gave her an unforgettable experience. Our equipment was always set up and ready to go. The whole team was great, punctual and so much fun to hang out with.
Last but definitely not least is the location and the food at the 303 Dive Bar on site. OMG! Those fish tacos were AMAZING! Their cocktails are delicious and the wait staff is just as great as the dive crew.
I spent a lot of months researching the location and the local dive shops until I decided on Seastar Belize. We are forever grateful to them. Since it was quite windy during our stay and not all days were dive days, we really want to come back and see them again - 2 weeks next time!

Sea Star, aka Belize Diving Services is a amazing and well run business with dedication to serving their clients with first class personal attention. I traveled to Ambergris Caye with my son, Tony and best friends, Doug, Heather and Don May 24, 2021-June 2nd,2021. We chose Sea Star based on their 100% positive reviews on Trip Advisor. It was a great choice. We did 10 dives, 1 snorkel and 1 half day fishing tour. 2 of us are in our 70s and the extra care that Chino and Big Joe gave us was unbelievable and the freedom they gave to all of the divers was very special. The boat captain, crew and owners were spectacular. On our 3 tank, all day tours, breakfast and a awesome lunch was served. I won't take the time to describe the dives, just know that Belize is known for world class Diving. The owners, Doug, Lia, Spencer and Joan joined us on our all day trips to Turneffe Caye and Lighthouse Reef/Halfmoon Caye. Adding to the experience was the 303/Dive Bar where we had relaxing dinners and beverages right above the dive shop on the dock with spectacular views and sunsets 🌇.

I and 2 friends went out on a full day experience - snorkeling at Hol Chan, Shark Ray Alley, lunch at Caye Caulker, and tarpon feeding. Big Joe, Capt Major, and Brendan made it literally my favorite day of my entire trip to San Pedro. The snorkeling was obviously beautiful. The 3 of them are extremely knowledgeable and capable guides both in and out of the water - I felt extremely safe the entire time I was in the water, super steady on the boat, and my friends and I learned SO MUCH about the native wildlife. We even saw seahorses and stopped by the Iguana Reserve (and so many more fun things!!)
They really went above and beyond to make our experience incredible. I cannot recommend SeaStar Belize enough - ESPECIALLY Big Joe, Capt Major, and Brendan.

SeaStar is a first rate PADI dive operator which specializes in diving, snorkeling and fishing expeditions. I have done many dives with SeaStar and they have always been great. They are staffed with great dive professionals and are very attentive, particularly for newer and less experienced divers. The staff and owners are fun and friendly as well. I highly recommend SeaStar. After your dive, or during your surface interval, grab lunch or a snack at The Dive Bar which is located on site.

From walking in and being greeted by Chino to the three dives the experience with Seastar (now Elite) is second to none. Esmeralda at the front went and setup a lunch for us on just her word since we didn’t bring our wallets for the dive/snorkel day. The entire crew is professional and delivers a safe and comfortable experience. If you are in Belize and on San Pedro I highly recommend you book your dive, lessons (if needed), snorkeling and fishing with Seastar (Elite).

Just spent a week diving with them - such a top notch operation and everyone from captains to dive guides to owner and office staff were amazing. The owner went home and then delivered sea sick pills to me at a restaurant so I would have them for the morning dive the next day. The little things made all the difference…we didn’t touch our gear all week, they remembered how much weight we used and even where we preferred to have our gear set up on boat. Cannot recommend them enough!!!!

Elite Adventures was a well run operation with excellent dive guides. We are a family of 5, including 3 teens that were ocean diving for the first time. The guide provided them feel comfortable while providing the oversight they needed.
We did a 2 tank reef dive and saw beautiful coral and fish even a few sharks.
I appreciated their attention to safety and proper diving protocols along with a desire to preserve sea life.

Sea Star (formerly known as Belize Diving Services and also known as Elite Adventures) is the best dive shop I've ever been too. I've been to over 5 different dive shops in 2021 in multiple different countries and nothing compared to the experience I had here. The people at the shop made me feel so welcomed and comfortable, I felt there was so much personal care and attention given to each individual person. I did 3 days of diving with this shop and it was my first time doing a night dive and they explained everything I needed to know and made me feel so comfortable.
My dive master Sonny, was the best guide I've ever had and knew all the different sea life to point out. He was also very attentive on the boat and I always felt extremely safe and taken care of for the dives. I have never been as relaxed as I was for these dives which made me enjoy my dives even more. Belize is an amazing place to dive at and this shop (and especially Sonny) are the best to dive with!

We will be visiting in April. Do you pick up at other resort docks, or do all trips leave from the shop?

Depending on how far your resort is from the shop, the answer is yes, they will come and get you if you make the arrangements early enough with them (meaning, at least the day before)

Great! Our favorites are Twisted Palms and Tres Cocos resort. Both are close and really great owners.
