We visited the second shop on Front St.
Loved the scent of the soaps.
Enjoyed talking to the owner.
However, the "keep the bugs away" spray didn't work at all---got so many bites while wearing it.
Buy the soaps!!

This is a great little shop with VERY good soap. We have had the chance house this since we have returned, and it is good soap, smells good and the cost was very reasonable. The woman working in the store was very helpful, and very knowledge. A must stop and shop if you in San Pedro.

Lynda and her staff are very welcoming. Such a variety of wonderful smelling fragrances in different colors and shapes. Plan on spending some time here. An excellent choice of handcrafted jewelry is a bonus. I live in San Pedro and this is one of my favorite shopping spots...it's also one of my favorite sharing shops when friends are visiting. A must stop and shop while on our beautiful island.

Review for the guys. I’ve used the shampoo/conditioner bars, soap, shave cream (used with a double edge safety razor), facial bar, feed my face, and deep moisturizing night cream. Everything works extremely well and is of high quality.

I started with just the soap and shampoo then ordered everything else through their Facebook page when I got home to the US. Shipping was fast.

If you want to avoid chemicals like parabens(found in all the stuff you buy at the grocery store and hair salon), which can effect test levels, then stock up on these products. Simple ingredients from the earth that work extremely well. A plus is you will be supporting a small business owned by friendly good people.

PS I like the fact the owner doesn’t take any crap on here. I’d tear apart some of these idiots too. Probably just some pretentious house wife who demands to talk to a manager everywhere they go lmao.

The products in this store are amazing, natural, lovingly handmade and simply wonderful.

I began using bath soaps from "Smelly People Wanted" three years ago. I have branched out considerably! I use the sunscreen (safe for the reef), shampoo bars, facial products, lip balm, the list continues.

When I need a thank you gift, this is my first stop. Everyone that has ever received one of these unique collections is thrilled.

Thank you for making such great products!

If you dont know San Pedro well it is not easy finding this shop. If you ask a local they pretend they dont know what you are talking about!! It woyld be better for Tourists if it was on Front Street not tucked away on Middle St but I get rents are much higher on Front St.
The website says drop in and meet the owner/artisan. I go down 2 x year and drop in. Havent seen hide nor hair of owner...yet and sales girl was not knowledgable about the Products.
Also she (owner) has a sign in book at cash desk to sign name and e.mail. I signed just 3 wks ago asking her to contact me....3 weeks and zip!! Online ordering is all by e.mail so if she is using this book only to grab peoples e.mails.?????? Does she ever look at this book and how often.
Her Products ARE well made and visually nice. As a fellow Soapmaker from Canada I know what to look for!! Some feel a bit pricey but actually a fair price for handcrafted products.
My one other dislike is her logo sign. "Smelly People Wanted" it might be an Island thing but this is offputting for most people... suggests your hygiene isnt up to par so you need soap!! She might eant to re think this.
If you say you are going to meet the Publuc...post tines you will actually be in the shop and better train staff to know ingredients etc.
It is a very clean white tiled shop but better directional signs needed. Ie at cross Streets have a sandwich board saying where to find the shop.
Will be dropping in again Feb/17...see if any changes have been made.

Well, we must say after reading this review, ( oh my) we did a bit of investigation and we have a PRETTY good idea as to who you REALLY are and the fact that you are a disgruntled business person. But, lets pretend for a moment that we are wrong and lets just go on to point out a FEW things. We will respond next to each of yours so that we can all be made aware of the complete idiocy of this situation. YOU SAID: If you dont know San Pedro well it is not easy finding this shop. NOT TRUE. This large store is located in the very CENTER of town on the busiest street and in full view of anyone walking by, biking by or driving by BUT, you already knew that. YOU SAID: If you ask a local they pretend they dont know what you are talking about!! NOT TRUE: Our locals as you call them are the friendliest people in the world and know exactly where we are located BUT you knew that too. YOU SAID: It woyld be better for Tourists if it was on Front Street not tucked away on Middle St but I get rents are much higher on Front St. NOT TRUE: We have been on Front street for three years but lucky us, we out-grew the location and needed a much bigger store but you knew that too. YOU SAID: The website says drop in and meet the owner/artisan. I go down 2 x year and drop in. Havent seen hide nor hair of owner...yet and sales girl was not knowledgeable about the Products. NOT TRUE: It is on a wonderful posting inside the store exactly what hours the owner is in fact at the shop and not in the studio making all of our wonderful products, you must have missed those TWO professionally printed posters in the store. In addition the manager ALWAYS tells people when we will be in and when we are in the studio working, in fact she calls us in the studio should someone ask her to…but we think you knew that too. As far as our manager goes, she is a wealth of knowledge in regards to all of our products, were you in the correct store? YOU SAID: Also she (owner) has a sign in book at cash desk to sign name and e.mail. I signed just 3 wks ago asking her to contact me....3 weeks and zip!! Online ordering is all by e.mail so if she is using this book only to grab peoples e.mails.?????? NOT TRUE: We NEVER….EVER have asked in our guest book or in any other form for guests email addresses because we feel that asking is in fact a bit pushy which we are not, in fact we took pictures of the inside of our guest book that clearly shows a space ONLY for name and for country but…again…you knew that too. YOUR name and country was not in the guest book as of this date but again…you know that as you never signed it. IN ADDITION, It was you in fact who when given a card when you asked for it, yelled at my manager and said is this how I contact the owner? I have to email her? You then met me a few days later and were asked to leave due to you being demanding and threatening. YOU SAID: Does she ever look at this book and how often. We say: DAILY! YOU SAID: Her Products ARE well made and visually nice. As a fellow Soapmaker from Canada I know what to look for!! WE SAY: I think otherwise. YOU SAID: My one other dislike is her logo sign. "Smelly People Wanted" it might be an Island thing but this is offputting for most people... suggests your hygiene isnt up to par so you need soap!! She might eant to re think this. WE SAY: Wow, we are so very sorry that you don't like our signage, Did you notice the beautiful blue store front window with our company name of " Belizean Breezes Soap Co" or were you only intent on the wonderful sense of humor we all have living on this beautiful island and the fact the "slogan" was born from the guests themselves………….You however didn't ask about that funny and uplifting story. YOU SAID: If you say you are going to meet the Publuc...post tines you will actually be in the shop and better train staff to know ingredients etc. WE SAY: We assume your wording of "Tines" must mean TIMES and "PUBLUC" must mean Public.. and again NOT TRUE: It is on a wonderful posting inside the store exactly what hours the owner is in fact at the shop and not in the studio making all of our wonderful products, you must have missed those TWO professionally printed posters in the store. YOU SAID: It is a very clean white tiled shop but better directional signs needed. Ie at cross Streets have a sandwich board saying where to find the shop. WE SAY: You must have missed the tow, 8 FOOT billboards on front street and the two 8 foot billboards north of town, IN ADDITION, our store is located on each and every street corner island map across the ENTIRE island and again the store is large and front and center of town, our huge window has a large logo's and we have a large sign that hangs out front, in addition, in front of the store is a large reg sandwich board sign, Im sorry you missed ALL of these signs, maps and light up signage as well. As far as placing MORE sandwich board signs on corners as you have suggested, the Town Council would never allow such signs to be placed in the flow of traffic nor in the middle of walk ways. You COULD however call them and voice your concerns to the Mayor, he's a nice gentleman. YOU SAID: Will be dropping in again Feb/17...see if any changes have been made. WE SAY: We are making no changes for you but then again..you already know that BUT, we soooo look forward to you dropping in.

Oh, my! Push the door open and the heavenly scents filling the air simply surround you. It's tempting to pause in your steps right then and there just to inhale deeply and try to identify one distinctive smell - sweet, earthy, fresh, flowery, citrusy? It's impossible to clearly identify any particular one. They all kind of blend together, creating an amazing sensory experience.

And then your eyes catch a glimpse of the shiny jewelry, some colorful tropical print pillows, and more. The brightly lit displays draw you in to explore. Look at that adorable, locally-made, sort of wooden bead decorated handbag! Too cute. Might have to grab that one. And what's this?? Soap that looks just like a hunk of the most delicious cake, and you want to eat it. Literally. Dang. Remember momma washing your mouth out with a bar of some foul tasting stuff the first time you said a curse word? Too bad she didn't have one of these. It's got coconut and lime and ... Hmmm, might not have been so bad if she'd had one of these. Who knows, not really going to try, but you imagine. That's probably got to go in the "to buy" pile. And this ring! Fiery orange like a seaside sunset nestled in shiny silver like a those fancy silver goblets? Yep, in the pile. I'll think of a stunning island sunrise or sunset every time I wear it.

You want to pick up and touch and sniff and try on every little thing. You quickly think to yourself, "Now, how much money do I have left from that other souvenir shop purchase? I know I'm going to want one of everything! Maybe two... ."

For this trip, I settled on the shampoo and creme rinse bars. It seemed kind of weird to use a "bar of soap" in my hair, but the idea of the natural balance of fatty acids minus the harsh chemicals sounded enticing. My hair could use a little TLC.

Now, I'll be honest. I've never been a big fan of all those natural products out there on the market. They are typically big on promises, short on delivery, and always leave my pocketbook way too light. I could hardly wait until morning to try these out.

And now, I'm virtually ecstatic to say, "Wow!" Mostly because I'm almost speechless. They work! My hair has never, and I mean NEVER in big capital letters, felt this amazing after a shampoo. It's light and silky and so not-weighed-down by the stuff in regular products that's supposed to make hair tangle-free and healthy looking but instead only makes it kind of limp and greasy feeling.

I'm a huge, new fan. I can hardly wait to go back and grab up more items. Too bad, really, that one small bar is supposed to last for about 90 shampoos. Talk about cost effective! I feel like I want to own at least twenty more just because I love them that much.

No matter what you choose, you won't be sorry. You'll love this place. Don't miss it. Just follow your nose, it's not hard to find. And it's all about both SCENTS AND SENSIBILITY.

We found this on our last trip and can't wait to go back. The products are very high quality and priced very fairly. You will want to set aside a bit of time to see it all. The Body Butter is to die for and so many scents to choose from.

The shop is amazing. The scent of the soaps draws you into this little shop where shelves are stocked with the most wonderful hand poured body soaps, lotions, face cream, body mist and artisan designed jewelry. In my three week visit to the island, I visited the shop 4 times to buy gifts to take home to delight family and friends, and, I did treat myself! A must stop while on the island of Ambergris Caye, San Pedro Town, Belize.

Good selection of locally made soap, salt and sugar scrubs, lotion, shampoo and conditioner as well as a lot of jewelry. It is a little on the pricey side. Bought mini scrubs for friends and family as well as a great scrub and coconut body cream for me. Beach bum is the best scent.
