Hey guys if you are visiting Ambergris Caye and want a great day on the water check out Capt. Eric at Uprising Tours! We had a phenomenal time fishing, sight seeing, snorkeling and hanging with some great guys on the water aboard the Knotty Pirate. These guys went above and beyond to make our time enjoyable! We had a fresh ceviche on the boat and an amazing lunch on the beach! We had an 8 yo with us and he said on our way home this was the favorite part of his trip! Eric, Jiggy and Dylan you guys rock! We'll hook up next time we are in Belize!

This was an absolutely amazing experience. Despite some unpleasant weather to start the day Eric was able to move us around and find the fish and we caught tuna, snapper and Kingfish. From there we got to watch Jiggy jump off the boat and find us some lobsters for our BBQ. Eric took us to a beautiful spot where we snorkeled along the reef and swam with shark and rays while they prepped food for the BBQ. We finished our day at the Rojo Bar enjoying all their amenities (games, pool, beach, bar)while Jiggy and Eric made what was truly a feast on the beach. An amazing day in Belize.

Eric was fantastic! We had the the best time! We fished within the reef and then just outside the reef. We easily caught our lunch. After fishing, the mate jumped overboard and caught lobster and conch to add to our feast for our lunch bbq on the beach. We snorkeled in the most pristine water before lunch. All in all one of the best things our family has ever done on vacation!

Eric and Jiggy were fantastic. It was easy to book through Facebook messenger and they picked us up at a local hotel dock. From there, we did a snorkeling tour of Hol Chan and saw so many things- spotted eagle rays, nurse sharks, octopus, lobster, tons of fish. Then we went to shark ray alley and snorkeled with the largest nurse sharks I have ever seen and rays. Such a fun experience! Then we headed towards Caye Caulker and saw 3 big manatees. They were remarkable and it was such a unique experience. Such gentle creatures. From there, we had lunch at Caye Caulker- walked around a bit and then met the boat again to go see tarpon. We got some great videos of hand-feeding tarpon. Very cool experience. Then we went and quickly looked at the sea horse farm right by one of the resorts. I have never seen a sea horse in the wild before- it was great. Then our last stop was checking out starfish nearby. Overall- this was one of the best days snorkeling I have ever had. They packed such unique experiences into one day. Having a private boat is the way to go- it was super just having a small group instead of the big tours with 20-30 people. The boat, the Knotty Pirate, was also really nice- very comfortable and fast. I would definitely book with these guys again.

My buddy and I wanted to do a fishing and beach bbq combo in Belize, so I, being an obsessive planner, scoured TripAdvisor and found CPT Eric. Booked easily after emailing him. What a great decision. CPT Eric and Jiggy picked us up at the pier of our hotel. Then, went to their spot to catch sardines for bait. Jiggy then put on snorkeling gear.... and freaking dove into the water and speared 7 lobster within minutes with a little trident looking thing. It was spectacular. We then went to another of their spots and fished for snapper. Had a great time and caught a cooler full for lunch within an hour or so. My buddy then caught a barracuda which was awesome. I didn’t even know that you could catch the equivalent of a dinosaur fish in the reef. Then, while CPT Eric and Jiggy worked hard to clean the catch and make us fresh fruit and ceviche as snacks, they anchored us in a corral garden where we saw gorgeous corral, schools of fish and several nurse sharks. All the while, Jiggy is mixing us rum punches on the boat and keeping us topped off. We then pull our boat directly onto this little beach that probably belongs to a resort like rock stars while the guests their just stared in envy (Uprising must have an agreement with the owner since we got to use all their stuff, like swings, chairs, volleyball, bathrooms etc.) CPT Eric drags over a grill and he and Jiggy proceed to cook a feast while we, again, uselessly lounged around with our rum punch contributing nothing. That meal was unbelievable. Buttered lobster, snapper, grilled Corn, potatoes, broccoli salad, baked beans, plantains, tortillas. More envious looks from other people on the beach. We ate till we were beyond full. Then ate some more. We got dropped off after a very full day back at our pier. It was worth every penny. Cannot beat that level of customer service. CPT Eric and Jiggy were so friendly and great at what they do. 10/10 would do again.
