Fun place to hang out and meet people
Jul 2016 • Family
The bartender was really great and the drinks were good. Happy hour is a fun time to meet people and cool off in the pool and you can keep an eye on the kids as they swim. The thing that rates this down is that the manager was just standing there every day watching the bartender. He had no personality and didn't really do anything except make everyone there uncomfortable.

Great spot every day of our trip!
May 2016 • Couples
We stayed at Belizean Shores and came to the Blue Hole Bar everyday. There were daily drink specials in the afternoon and a daily happy hour 2-for-1 specials. All the drinks we had tasted great! The bar tender was Emir and he was very friendly, personable, and become our friend on this trip! Thank you Emir! Hope to return soon!

Great spot

We stayed at Belizean Shores and frequented the blue hole pool bar which is a swim up bar. There is a happy hour everyday from 3-5pm with 2 for 1 drinks and daily drink specials. The bar tenders are very friendly. You can order food from the Coco Beach Resort and have it delivered to the pool. I would recommend it if you are staying at Belizean Shores.

Great experience
Jan 2016 • Couples
We stayed at the Belizean Shores Resort, so this bar was our only close option. We loved our bar tender- Casey. He was great with giving us local information and ideas of things we could do in town. Of course, he made excellent drinks also. He went out of his way to help us find Coke Light. He helped us in many ways and we enjoyed our stay because of him. Food can also be ordered from the bar that actually comes from a different resort since this resort has no restaurant. The food was very good and can be delivered to the bar or your room.

The bar itself is great if you want to hang out in the pool. The steps are a little dangerous if you just want to go to the bar and drink. the hot tub is extremely dangerous with the entry and exit being a huge steep step.

I enjoyed my time at the bar and will return.

TERRIBLE experience at the Blue Hole Pool Bar at Belizian Shores Resort
Aug 2015 • Friends
An incident happened at the Blue hole pool bar on Friday August 7, 2015 at the Belizian Shores Resort.
At approximately 7pm we were ripped off by the bar tender who said his name was Patrick (I later found that he lied about his name). I did not believe him so I took a picture of him. (See pic.) Look out for this guy, he is a creep!
My friend swam up to the bar with $20 U.S. to purchase 2 Cuban drinks. The cost was $8 each Belize for a total of $16 Belize, the waiter gave her back $15 Belize as change. BUT I noticed the prices posted on the drinks menu were in Belize, which means that since she was paying in U.S. dollars, she was ripped off because the 2 Cuban drinks bought should have been charged as $4 each U.S. for a total of $8 U.S. The waiter should have given her back $12 U.S. which should have been $24 Belize (He gave her back $15 Belize instead). So she was ripped off $6 U.S.

After that, I went to the bar and ordered 2 more Cuban drinks at $8 Belize (which is $4 U.S. each) for a total of $16 Belize ($8 U.S.) The waiter charged me the $15 Belize change he had given to my friend in the previous transaction PLUS $10 U.S. That means that I paid $15 Belize ($7.50 U.S.) plus $10 U.S. for a total of $17.50 U.S. In this transaction we were ripped off $9.50 U.S
TOTAL OVERCHARGED WAS $6 U.S + $9.50 U.S= $15.50 U.S.

After realization of being ripped off, I went back to bar to confront waiter, but he acted like he did not understand and refused to give the overcharge back. The evening went downhill from there.
My advice when visiting this place in the future, they charge everything Belize, so anytime you get a bill, ask, is this Belize? They will say yes, then you simply divide that total in half and that is the cost in U.S. (Examply, cost is $8 Belize.. That means $4 U.S.)

I placed a complaint with the Belizian Shores Resort office personnel and nothing was done about this incident. I was simply told that they will see what they can do. This was unacceptable.
