My husband and I, along with my brother and sister-in-law booked 3 excursions with Tacio on our recent trip. Tacio is attentive and very passionate about what he does. He does not rush you at any of the locations and the whole experience is from start to finish is phenomenal. We will use Tacio every time we visit Ambergris Caye and will recommend him to everyone we know!

We have known Tacio for many years and have gone snorkeling and fishing with him many times. He is a great guy who knows exactly how to give his guests an forgettable experience. After your snorkeling and/or fishing, he will take you to have an amazing seafood meal and perhaps some liquid refreshment if you so choose. Do NOT miss his conch ceviche!!!!
You will be so happy you chose Tacio!

We took a full day to fish and snorkel. It was my wife’s first time on a boat so I was a bit nervous. Tacio and his son made the day one not to forget. From the 17 fish we caught, to the meal he prepared that was just caught, to the snorkel with the sharks.
I wish we had another full day on our trip to spend fishing with Tacio.

We went on a day of fishing with beach bbq with Tacio and his son! This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Belize. They were the best tour guides we've probably ever had and by the end of the day we felt like we were all part of the family. They picked us up right at our hotel dock, took us to multiple fishing spots. Every person in our group of 8 caught multiple fish. Went to the most beautiful private beach with not one piece of seaweed. We were on our own private tropical paradise. Had the best ceviche I've ever eaten! And a delicious lunch with the fish we caught. And we never once felt rushed. Oh and cant forget the delicious rum punch they provided. Tacios tours will be the first thing we book next time we are fortunate enough to come to Belize!

Tacio and his son, Gian, are the best guides on this island! They make you feel like family and comfortable from start to finish. I am very blessed to meet the whole family. They’re the most welcoming, loving, and genuine people.
The first tour was snorkeling. The thing I loved and enjoyed most about this was I was with a bunch of friends, one being 15 years old. Tacio swam with her, holding her hand, until she felt safe. That really had my heart! His #1 things are safety and making sure we enjoyed ourselves. And enjoy ourselves we did!
Tacio and Gian took us to three spots to snorkel. We got to feed tarpon from our hand and we went to lunch. They supply the guests with water, soda, rum punch, and fresh fruit.
Unlike every tour I have been on in the past, they don’t rush you. Which is really nice and relaxing, being as you are on vacation, trying to have the time of your life!
Tacio has been in San Pedro his whole life, and is full of wisdom, and very smart. He loves to share his knowledge with you. Tell you what every fish is, and share history with you.
The next tour we went on was the fishing tour. He picked us up and we were off, to go get our bait. Again explaining what he is doing, how, and why. After getting the sardines, we went out to fish. Tacio and Gian were very patient while baiting our hooks and explained where to cast. A couple of us in the group had a hard time casting, or should I say, casting without crossing lines. Which was fine, they had no problem casting out for you.... we all had the time of our lives, catching red snapper, and yellow fin. Afterwards, we went and met up with the rest of our group and Tacio and Gian prepared our lunch, with our fresh catch and rice and potatoes. We were able to meet Tacio’s wife and daughter here, as well. They brought cold cake, which is to die for! Thank you so much, Michel!!! My wife is going to be connecting with you for recipes.
This family and these tours are a MUST if you visit San Pedro, Belize.

This is one of the most important reviews I have ever written! Our experience with Tacio and his son, "G", was one of the single best days of my life, and I want to try to get it into words.
For those in need of a brief review: Tacio is a local resident of Belize (Ambergris Caye) and started this business with his son, "G", shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic. Tacio's wife, Michel, handles the social media/communications. They are so fairly priced and have knowledge that you get only by being a local- the best fishing spots, the hidden beaches, etc.
They picked us up at our dock on Hol Chan and first took us to the local iguana sanctuary. The boat ride there included fantastic information on the mangrove trees and various aspects of Belizean history. The iguana sanctuary was really cool. There were iguanas over 3 feet long just eating fruit and watching us off the pathways. Next, they took us to the western side of the island where we got to spend time on a secluded beach! The sand was pure white and we were the only ones there. It was truly paradise. One of the adults was able to wade out and fish right in the ocean. We found various shells and spent a few hours just sitting in the beautiful clear, blue water. Tacio and G regularly provided refills of homemade Rum Punch and brought freshly cut watermelon and pineapple.
Next, they took us to Secret Beach where they knew all the restaurant owners. They pulled us up to the dock and walked us out to a cabana in the ocean where we were waited on and provided with fantastic food and drinks. After a few hours, we arrived at our last stop, a sandbar in the middle of the ocean.
It is so amazing- to be in 2 feet of water in the middle of the ocean, standing in the sand with nothing but ocean surrounding you. It was so peaceful and the perfect way to end the day. We were dropped back off at our dock near Hol Chan at the end of the day.
They were so personable and all 5 of us wished that we would have booked all of our 3 excursions with the Tacio crew. You WILL NOT be disappointed, and you will NOT find better pricing anywhere else.

We booked with Tacio several times over the course of our 10 day stay in the island. He picked us up right on our dock, was always early and greeted us with a welcoming smile. We have been a lot of places over the years and snorkeled in some of the top ten locations around the world but Ambergris Cate topped them all and Tacio knows where all the good spots are located. With all of his years of experience, you cannot go wrong, plus the man knows how to cook! Pictures cannot do it justice.

Tacio and his son G took us out for an all day snorkeling excursion and it was incredible. We started at Hol Chan marine reserve and just WOW. I have snorkeled all over the Caribbean and this is by far top 3 trips I have taken. We started at 8 am to beat the crowns and saw spotted eagle rays, green turtles, black tip reef shark, moray eel, spotted eagle rays, regular rays, 50+ nursse sharks, 2 manatees, and so many reef fish. It was truly a once in a lifetime expereine. After about 3 hours of snorkeling we headed to Caye Caulker to get lunch and explore. Go to the lazy lizard and get some frozen drinks. We had lunch at Bambooze beach bar - th e civiche and lobster burrito were amazing. I cannot recommend Tacio, Michele, and G enough!

Four of us joined Tacio and G for a day of reef fishing, snorkeling and a beach barbecue. They picked us up from our dock at Xanadu, which was so convenient. They were perfect hosts, from baiting our fish hooks and casting our rods to serving us rum punch and a delicious lunch of fresh grilled fish and lobster and the best ceviche! The also took us to two nice snorkeling spots. They were delight to spend the day with and we highly recommend it!

In one word, our experience with Tacio Badillo was AMAZING!!! Tacio and his son “G” came in their boat and picked us up at our hotel’s dock, so we didn’t have to travel for our tour. Ours was a personally curated experience; Tacio asked us what we wanted and tailored the voyage to our liking. We traveled along the coast of the Caribbean Sea and through the Boca del Rio toward the leeward side of San Pedro. Tacio is well versed in San Pedro culture and history, telling us all about the island along the way. We stopped at an iguana preserve and saw dozens of iguanas sunning themselves. Next, we went out to Shell Island, where we walked along the beach and enjoyed his homemade shrimp ceviche and vegetables with some ranch dressing. Along the way, he was a fabulous host, offering us water, sodas, or his homemade rum punch (best we’ve tried on the island!). Afterwards, we cruised back for a simple drop off back at our hotel.
Our time on Tacio’s boat was unforgettable and the highlight of our San Pedro experience - it was definitely money well spent and we’d highly recommend him… you won’t regret it!
