Ambergris Caye Sunset Sail Tour on the 40' Sirena Azul Sailboat

5 reviews
Watch the sun set into the Caribbean Sea as you sip rum punch aboard a 40’ sailboat, with a 3-hour sailing tour from Ambergris Caye. Enjoy a comfortable seat on deck, and listen to tropical tunes from the on-board sound system while the captain navigates the bright blue water. Sail south along the scenic edge of Ambergris Caye, watch for dolphins and sea turtles in the evening light, then spot the first tropical stars as you return to port.
$61.54 per adult

My husband & I had our second trip to Belize in January 2020. Crazy Canucks was within walking distance from our hotel so we ventured over for the hermit crab races after a recommendation from our hotel bartender. If you’ve been to “Dick’s” restaurant in America, it’s similar - rated R, adult humor. You’re at a bar, for Pete’s sake! While I understand many families are looking for something to do in San Pedro at night, just keep that in mind “We. Are. At. A. Bar.” It’s all in good fun! My crab won, my husband & I named our crabs after the Houston Astros in hopes they would win (with or without cheating! LOL)

I took my family for an evening out to the hermit crab races with "crazy" canuck. Crazy is right. The gut who fronts this joint is just a Canadian expatriate, his absence celebrated in all of Canada.. He insulted my kids on several occasions, with various samples of how much better life and people are in Belize that the states. However, he has no problem taking money from American tourists, under the guise that he is helping to build the educational system in Belize. I suspect most of that money ends up in his grimey little pocket. He is turd in a punch bowl. I will return to Belize, but never to Canucks. The island of Ambergris would be better served by exiling this jerk to Antarctica. Certainly, Canada won't take him back.

Response from Rob B, Owner at Crazy Canucks Beach Bar

In four years of running crab races you are the first to accuse me of taking any money. Unfortunately for you my books in this case are transparent. The totals each week are announced publicly. The principal of the school is at every crab race. The students benefited by the races are maintained in a continually updated spreadsheet run by the school not I. 100% of the crab race money goes directly to the children. Not one dollar of administration collected by Canucks, the school, or any middle man. Canucks has donated over $150k dollars to the local community, has done so with full audits and amazing support. I would challenge you to listen at crab races where it is covered that I am American but proudly support Canada I would challenge you to listen at crab races where every week I announce if you brought your kids to a bar after dark in Central America it is not my fault I would challenge you to find a way to be positive during these trying times I would challenge you to leave a review within a reasonable time as we have been shut down in full quarantine for a month at this point Mostly, I just challenge you to keep up with us as we lead

Bar staff rude and obnoxious and desperately need to learn some customer service skills. Drinks ridiculously expensive - $40 Belize for 2 vodka with soda water - over the road was $13 Couldn’t be as rude as them and refuse to pay which is what I wanted to do. Then the reaction when I asked for a little more soda was so rude it drew gasps from others at the bar so we drank up and took our custom elsewhere! Such a shame to be treated in such a disgraceful way and marred our last night and experience of San Pedro 😡

Great place, don't expect caviar and champagne...but I hear they'll get a bottle if you're special enough. Really enjoyed visiting with the owner, the perfect attitude to run this place.
