Our full day fishing and beach BBQ excursion with Belize Candace Fish & Reef Tours was the absolute highlight of our vacation. We went out with this crew 2 different days - they are that great! We reef fished, deep sea fished, snorkeled, speared lobsters, swam with sharks, sting rays and a huge sea turtle! The sea turtle swam right under us and circled around several times-wow! It was truly an experience of a lifetime. We caught enough fish for a beach bbq lunch then fished more so we had dinner too. Joel just kept saying “let’s catch ‘one more’. We were all in! They entertained us, made sure we were having a great time and knew exactly where to go to get fish and see cool things. Joel, Junior and Louise were the best! Joel is full of knowledge about the island, the fish and the ocean. What’s great about Joel is that he teaches you the right way to fish and really cares that you are learning. If you’re going on a fishing or snorkel trip, go with these guys. You won’t regret it!

We went out for a full day fishing, snorkeling and bbq trip with Joel, little Joel and Henry. They were an excellent crew and we had a blast! Anyone who wants a little of everything should definitely book this tour. The high point was eating the eight lobsters that my son got spear fishing! Delicious! They even took my husband and sons back out fishing after my daughter and I called it quits. Thank you for an experience none of us will ever forget!

We had an amazing time on our snorkeling tour. Mundo and Rudy were great. We had 4 of us and none were experienced snorkelers so they helped us go at a great pace. We saw sharks, rays, manatees and more. The lunch place they dropped us off at was great and we got to walk Caye Caulker. Would highly recommend anyone booking with these guys!

Captain Joel and crew were EXCELLENT. They accommodated our special request. They took my dad, husband and son (8) fishing, spear fishing and snorkeling. They allowed my mom, toddler and I to meet at the delicious beach bbq.
I was so impressed with capt Joel and all the little extras he did for our 8 year old to make sure his day was special.
It was the highlight of his trip. I'm so jealous I didn't get to participate in spear fishing....guess we'll have to come again!

We went out with Captain Joel twice with our family and had a great time. We did a mixture of fishing and snorkeling. Joel was very flexible when one of us got sea sick and another was afraid of snorkeling. He was very professional the entire time as well, making us feel very safe with him and he kept adding little surprises to see new animals that our kids loved.

Pretty UNBELIZABLE trip. I definitely have to say, Joel and Marco really knew how to show us a good time. We started our day at 8 am with successful deep sea fishing trip, went snorkeling, caught some conch, had it freshly prepared for us on the boat. Continued our day to Gilligans Island, where Marco and Joel prepared us a phenomenal meal with our catch that morning. The beach and water were perfect. I highly recommend this tour company to anyone, especially ones looking to explore San Pedro by boat!!

Unforgettable trips is the way we roll... We are so happy that you liked the Island. Its nice to get away at times and this is one of the many tours we do. We hope to see you in the future.

My wife and I went on two fishing trips with Joel on our latest trip to Belize. First we enjoyed a day at sea where we swam with manatees, snorkeled around a sunken barge and hunted for lobster. We’ve done group snorkel tours before but an early, private snorkel with Joel was absolutely amazing. Next we visited Caye Caulker, had lunch, and saw the tarpon and seahorses. We ended the day with fishing and caught a few. Our second trip with Joel was night fishing and it was AMAZING. Night fishing with an expert like Joel is the perfect opportunity to fight and catch bigger fish. He is a patient and encouraging teacher, and he has a wealth of knowledge about fishing and Belize — and he’s willing to share it with his guests. Joel is a true expert and it’s apparent that he loves the island and he loves being out on the water, he is the perfect guide for fishing and water adventures and we’ll definitely be calling him on our next visit to Ambergris Caye.

My family and I had so much fun working with Joe and Marco that we went out with them three different mornings during our week in San Pedro. Our group consisted of four very experienced divers, a couple of novice snorkeler, a brand new snorkeler, and a 20 month old, and these guys made the experience so much fun for all experience levels. That takes talent!

Joel and Marco gave us the best time possible!! They were extremely accommodating and pleased to take us fishing even though we booked the tour last minute. Being with them makes you feel safe, valued, and excited! They are professional yet open to connecting with you on a personal level that feels genuine and warm.
Every moment was impressive and enjoyable. The most gratifying feeling is when you catch so many huge, heavy in a just matter of an hour or two. It was my first time ever fishing, and I couldn’t believe that I caught even one, let alone THREE. They were supportive and eager for my success, constantly cheering me on and providing all the guidance I could need.
Thank you both so much for everything you put into that life changing experience! I appreciate it wholeheartedly and look forward to more with you because this fishing tour made our trip that much better. <3

Booked 3 trips with Joel and his crew. Everyone was very knowledgeable and fun. Eddy, Francisco, Kevin, and Joel were our guides on various trips. Went snorkeling in Hol Chan, shark alley, Mexico rocks, caye caulker, fed the tarpons, and went fishing where Joel cooked the catch on a private beach. Had freshly caught conch ceviche - excellent! They are all local and know local spots so you aren’t around large touristy groups. If you want a personal guided tour this is the group. Communication was very easy and Joel responds in appropriate time - he may be out in the ocean so be patient during the day. Coordination for pick up was easy also. Just remember to pay in cash. Would highly recommend, we have a 11 year old and the crew were very attentive and taught him lots of things about the country, wildlife, fishing - an unforgettable experience for him and the family.
