We had an incredible and seamless experience with the Reef Adventures team. It was our first trip to Belize and between getting Open Water certified, navigating COVID travel, and planning every day of the trip, Crystal went above and beyond and helped us make the most of our precious time down in Belize.
Ched and the whole crew at Reef Adventures were not just incredibly skilled and professional, but genuinely fun to hang out with and good people all around. Love the focus on small groups having a more personal and memorable dive experience – I'd definitely recommend to anyone thinking of getting certified, or even just looking to spend time out in the water!

Thanks so much for the amazing review Arif! I had a wonderful time meeting you, Andrew and Timothy, and
enjoyed sharing my love of Belize and excitement of diving with you guys. Ched and the Reef Adventures crew appreciate your kind words and are very happy to welcome you to the Reef Adventure's family. Wishing you many amazing adventures all over the world with your new "underwater lungs". There are countless dive sites still to visit here, so we surely hope to see you again whenever you come back to Belize!

Wilkie and Arthur were so much fun. Loved that they were in the water with us pointing things out and just felt like we were hanging out with friends. The time snorkeling and exploring Caye Caulker was time (and money) well spent. Loved feeding the tarpon and birds, seeing the seahorses, and seeing the manatee (he swam off before we could get our gear on to join him). Exactly the trip we booked and had a great time.

Absolutely wonderful! 7 of us in our group went and paid $50 each. We went to Hol Chan and shark Ray Alley. It was amazing! They pointed out different fish, green eel, 2 kinds of rays, different coral, nursing sharks, etc. After we finished snorkeling and before we headed back they gave us water and fresh pineapple. Louis and Chad were awesome and I highly recommend!!

Everything started out great but changed it relatively quickly. We booked a private tour with Phil to go snorkeling with the manatees, play with the seahorses, feed the tarpon, and tour Caue Caulkner. The weather was supposed to be bad the day of our tour and we were allowed to reschedule for the following day and this is where the great experience and communication ended. Phil called us the morning of the tour and said there would be four additional people on our boat, not ideal but we understood because of the poor weather yesterday. The boat showed up with seven people already on it, in addition to our 4, the boat was not set up for an eleven person tour. To make matters worse, as we left the dock we were now told we were going to Shark Ray Alley and Hol Chan which we had no intentions of going to after already being to both of these locations. I do not recommend this tour operator unless you don’t care if the tour you end up on is a surprise and not what you actually booked. We have reached out to both Phil and one of the co owners in Denver without a response.

I booked four dive days with Reef Adventures for the week of April 9-16th. I will start with a couple warnings. It is very windy in April so two of the days were cancelled because the boats can't go out. But the reason I downgraded the rating is due to something that happened that after 12 years of diving was a first. My daughter joined me after getting certified the week before. The shop puts the BCDs on the tanks, so when you are ready to dive, you strap on, check the air and go in. My daughter put her tank on, checked her air and got none. She told the boat Captain, who assured her that her air was on. She tried again and insisted she had no air and her gauge was at zero. They had put her on an empty tank and didn't check the gauge after turning the air on. They then moved her to another tank, and she checks again and it is only at 1500 lbs, half empty. Finally, they shift her onto another full tank. The next day, they were very nonchalant, said it happens sometimes from the tank filling company, and they really were not concerned at all. It bothered me a lot. In the end, they fell back on the "you are a certified diver, it is up to you to be safe" mantra, which is true, but we don't need to be set up for failure either. So a word to the wise, don't trust them or any dive operator. Other than that, they were very nice, the dive master, David, very attentive and an excellent guide, and we enjoyed our two days of diving. But I will try a different operator when I go back.

An excellent diving experience. An all around wonderful reef diving experience. I received my advanced open water diver certification with Ched (dive master) with my mother and his hands on instructional teaching is easy to understand. Probably one of the most honest people in the diving industry we have ever seen and he will not hesitate to point out any mistakes. I appreciated the fact he never aggressively promoted other activities that we did not want to experience. Reef Adventures is truly an adventure as they love taking their customers into the strangest looking yet most beautiful reefs with a variety of marine wildlife. The number one priority for reef adventures is safety and Ched is always adamant about safety and protocol. This small company is family oriented and caters to your needs and wants. It is a very personalized experience with small groups of people. I highly recommend diving or doing any other activity with Reef Adventures.

TJ, you and your mom are awesome! Congratulations on your Advanced Open Water Certification. We are so glad you chose us. Thank you so much for this top notch review! We sure hope that you guys will come back and dive with us again. The video of the shark Wiyada sent from your dive was amazing!

Crystal was great to work with via email once we got to Ambergris Caye. We waited to book until arriving on purpose to gauge the weather and she found us a time and excursion that worked perfectly for us (two stop afternoon cruise). We hit Hol Chan and Shark Alley. The guide (Blinky) was fun, energetic and educated. We would definitely book here again!

We visited Belize for our first time! Crystal helped us book an excursion that incorporated everything we wanted to do, she helped give us ideas about things to do on Belize, places to eat etc. Blinky was great, fun and made sure to point out all the highlights of our trip. We will definitely be back!

There were 6 people plus the tour guide on Bubbles. We went out to find manatee, we found one along with other boat tours. The current changed on us making it harder to swim, cutting our trip short but that was ok with us. Feeding the tarpons was cool while looking at the sea horses was not as exciting. We found one. We spent time on Caye Caulker and had a delicious meal at our tour guide’s recommendation. We all opted not to snorkel anymore and head home sooner than planned. Having been on a much larger boat the day before, the rough boat ride - water pot holes was fun at first but then got to be a bit much by the afternoon.

We certainly appreciate your review Gretta. The Manatee Adventure is a guest favorite and we are glad you got to experience it with us. Those gentle giants are certainly amazing to see and snorkel with. The guys make the seahorse sanctuary just a quick stop so guests who have never been to one can take a quick peek. Of course the excitement from feeding the Tarpon and snorkeling with the Manatees makes the seahorse sanctuary seem less of a thrill. Thanks so much for taking the time to provide us a review, and we certainly hope to see you again in the future for some fun "Reef Adventures'!

Very happy with the service we received from this company today. We are family of 4 and went to Hol Chan and shark ray alley. We basically walked up to their desk at 1:00 and by 2:00 we were on the water. Our guide made sure we were taken care of both in water and on boat. Water and fruit snack was provided on the boat.

So glad you enjoyed your family snorkeling adventure in Hol Chan with us! It's one of the most popular trips and for good reason--so much wildlife to see. Enjoy the rest of your time in San Pedro!

The half-day snorkel to Shark Ray Alley is $50 per person and includes your snorkel gear and the park fee. (And don't worry, they are nurse sharks, so not aggressive!) You can find pricing for all tours and diving on our website.

Most of our half day 2-stop snorkel trips are $40-45 per person and that includes use of our snorkel gear. We also do private charter trips and full day excursions, fishing trips, and PADI diving and dive training. You can visit our website for our full list of prices and current specials - such as free light rentals for night snorkeling with groups of 3 or more. Feel free to call or email us with more questions. Ched and the Reef Adventures team would love to take you snorkeling during your time in San Pedro!
