This place is great for snorkelers of all levels. Get the before 10am and you will have the place to yourself. If you have never seen sharks up close, you won't want to miss this. The nurse sharks are friendly and will not harm you. Try it! you will be glad that you did.

I know it's a touristy thing to do, but you have do it if in San Pedro. I don't like being with other people, so go early... Early bird catches the worm is my motto. We were there at 9:30 ( at Hol Chan before) and there was only one other boat. If there are many boats there are less... More

We learned that this place came to be after the fisherman would clean their catch for that day and toss their desirable fish back into the water. This caused the nurse sharks to convene here every time they hear a motor boat. It was so surreal to be surrounded by that many sharks. We took Tuff E Nuff tours with... More

If you enjoy snorkeling Hol Chan Marine and Shark and Ray Alley, are a must see trip. You will get up front and personal with Nurse Sharks and Southern Sting Rays.

We took a snorkel trip on the catamaran YOLO and this was our second stop (Their snorkel trip is AWESOME. If you're looking for one, I definitely suggest it!). The guides chummed the water and we all jumped in with tons of sharks, rays and fish. We probably hung out there in the water with them for an hour until... More

This freaked us out at first as our boat captain started chumming the water and dozens of sharks swarmed our boat. We then jumped right in with them. Close enough to touch, the sharks felt leathery and gritty like sand paper. Just do it!!

This was my second visit here. The last one, years ago. This visit there were so many boats and I feel the novelty had worn off a bit. We saw one ray, we had seen more during our previous snorkeling earlier in the day at the reserve. Quite a few sharks here, a couple really big ones! But it seemed... More

You want to go with a guide will chum for you. The sound of the boat engines are enough to get the sharks to you, as they are used to being fed when thee boats pull up. If you want them to stick around, you will need a chum bucket in the water. The Nurse Sharks are very gentle and... More

I always love going to Shark Ray Alley and snorkeling with all the marine life. The water was very clear, so visibility was great.
