A nice family park.

The animal exhibits are limited but have large, natural environments for habitats. A nice range of facilities for groups and family reunions.

A friend of mine utilized the hall near the front gate for her wedding reception and I was very impressed. It provided great space inside as well as outside. The wraparound porch was the added touch. I will definitely utilize this area to host parties as well as family gatherings. I recommend this center.

We made a trip to Albany just to visit the RC car track at Chehaw Park. It was raining when we got here this afternoon but we were still able to check out the track and everything at the park. We will see how it goes at the races tomorrow! My son is excited!!

Perhaps a 98 degree day was not the best idea for visiting this park, but it, nonetheless, is well maintained and pleasantly left quite natural, depicting South Georgia flora. The only part of the park where I spent much time was the zoo which is very well kept - clean with ample enclosures for the animals creating their natural habitats.... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! I definitely encourage guests to make their Zoo visits early in the summer. The animals are often the most active in the mornings before they find a shady spot to nap and hide from the hot south Georgia sun. Our keepers make a great effort to keep our large exhibits... I have a special homebound friend who needed a wheelchair to be able to visit the animals at Chehaw Park Zoo so I called ahead to see what opportunities were available. They provided the wheelchair from the Gift Shop, assisted in getting him into the chair, then arranged for us to participate in the wagon ride which meant loading a... More

For a hot July day the park was clean and well kept. The animals were of course just trying to deal with the heat. The zoo park is very small with limited exhibits but was fine for an afternoon visit.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! The best time to visit in the hot, south Georgia summer is the morning. The animals are usually most active in the mornings before most settle into the shade for a nap during the hottest parts of the day. Hope you'll visit again soon! More

What a waste of time. You can tell the zoo area is run down before you get out of the car. Entering the zoo, you will not receive a map to guide you along so, pick a direction and wander about. The sidewalks are falling apart and rotten with briars and other vegetation growing out and over the boardwalks. Would... More

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your visit. I would like to take the time to respond and correct some of your points. You are right. The Zoo IS run down. The very things you noticed are the exact points we are trying to show to those in our City and County... More

This was a fun place to visit with my siblings. We enjoyed our time at the park and seeing all the animals. Recommended if you're in the area.
