Place to go with children. This place gets them outside where they can run & play. See live animals in their habitat. Spend the day, much to see and do.

Our children were have been coming here since they were tiny. Now, 30 years later, they bring their own children! Years of fun for us as a family. We love the recent addition of the splash park for the hot days after the playground! Yes...More

Chehaw is a great place to spend the day, or even the weekend, since they offer cabin, RV, and tent camping in the park. Their wooden playground is gigantic, and has plenty of places to sit for parents to watch kiddos in shaded comfort. Right...More

Chehaw Park Zoo is an enjoyable activity. The animal enclosures are surrounded by many trees and other plants, so it’s shady and comfortable even on hot summer days. Although there are not a huge number of animals, they are diverse - from a rhino to...More

Chehaw Park is a nice place to go to and get outdoors. The park was opened in 1937, so it's been there a very long time. If you go during mid-April there is a Native American Indian Festival. It's a good way to spend a...More

I'm a hiker. Let me qualify my review with stating that hiking in SW GA isn't the best only because of gnats and boredom in the terrain. Still, the trail spent a good bit of time doing nothing but zigzags across an overgrown field. Some...More

Thank for your feedback! You're a brave soul to hike in the south Georgia heat! It's definitely flat in some areas, especially the portions that wind through the wiregrass and pine forest. Definitely pack your gnat spray if you visit again!

Sorry to hear you were disappointed with your visit! Allowing guests to participate in free animal enrichment programs throughout the day is sometimes hit or miss. Enrichment involves giving our animals something new and potentially exciting to them every day. This involves allowing the animal...More

This is the worst campground we have ever stayed at! The roads inside the campground are not paved and have huge pot holes. The grass had likely not been cut all summer and was not cut during the four nights we spent there. There was...More

I hate to hear you were disappointed with your stay. Our campground facilities are old, but our housekeeping staff visits them twice a day to clean. Our girls deep clean with a pressure washer pretty often as well. Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to keep bugs...More
