Paradise Rental Boats at Lake Allatoona is a top-notch operation. We rented a pontoon boat on a busy Friday morning and it was a terrific experience.

From our well-maintained boat to the friendly and helpful staff, they really put the “customer” into “customer service”. This customer focus showed in their well-organized check-in and check-out processes. It showed in the quality of engaged, helpful, friendly and well-trained young people they employ. It showed in the cleanliness of their boats and docks. It showed in the maintenance and operation of their boats.

Everyone at Paradise Rental Boats made us feel good. Every question was answered as if it was the first time they heard it. They carefully explained the operation of the boat and things to watch out for. They reviewed all of the safety information. They reviewed the map with us. They smiled throughout and demonstrated appropriate confidence in themselves and us. They worked together as a team. This set the stage for a wonderful day.

Our boat was a lot of fun. It was easy to operate, functioned perfectly, was clean, and let us explore beautiful Lake Allatoona, the Etowah River, and some beautiful coves. We could zoom on the open water and lazily cruise into some smaller spots. We even had a nice picnic lunch in a shady cove. It was so much fun!

I highly recommend Paradise Rental Boats at Lake Allatoona and look forward to renting from them again!

Had a Fourth of July celebration with family and friends. Rented the 32’ boat with restroom and slide. The boat was clean and in very good shape. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This is second time we rented from them. Have not been disappointed. We did lose the anchor at one point. Thank goodness we were in fairly shallow water. After about 15 minutes it was found. We had 8 very good swimmers looking for it. The day was perfect besides that.

Very service oriented company. They always take good care of us and the equipment is always in great condition. Honestly, my only complaint is price. After committing to $400+ for a boat for the day, you shouldn't have to drop another $50 to rent a tube.

This company was absolutely phenomenal! Our spring campaign shoot on Lake Allatoona went off without a hitch. We went to the lake a few days in advance to rent a boat and get a feel of driving on the water, which turned out to be very simple, we also took the boating exam while we were there. We rented a party boat for the day of the shoot which was very convenient since it had AC and a bathroom. Can't wait to rent from them again!

we rented a pontoon boat which seated 12 for a day on the lake...it was 4 hours...they provided life jackets for all and a brief lesson on how to maneuver on the lake. Kids had a great time swimming in the lake..we didn't venture too far...be sure to watch for the sand bars!!

I'll preface this by saying that the Manager called after our outing and comp'd the boat rental for the day. So that was good.

We rented a 25' pontoon with a 115HP outboard for the morning. We also reserved a double ski-tube.

We have rented from here several times and each time has been great, but this outing was not the norm.

We got out on the water very quickly and started pulling our kids on the tube. Within 3 minutes, the "Low Oil" light came on, an alarm sounded and the motor cut out. About 30 seconds later, it all cleared and we resumed tubing.

5 minutes later, it happened again.

We headed back to the Marina. Pulled into the slip and explained to the kids working what happened. I also told them that the throttle also wouldn't stay forward. I had to hold it down, meaning I had to steer with one hand. If you've ever steered a pontoon, you know it's a bit like driving a four-wheel ATV. You kinda have to muscle it. And so trying to turn with one hand, while holding the throttle down for four hours with the other, all while keeping your head on a swivel...well, it's nigh impossible.

The kids told me that the throttle on the "newer boats" was supposed to work like that. And about the "Low Oil" and engine cutting out, he asked, "How many times has it happened?" And when I told him twice in 15 minutes, his response was akin to "Yeah, that's not bad."

I also mentioned the depth finder didn't work and was told, "None of them do. We should take them out." O....K...

At this point, I was getting very upset. We'd lost 30 minutes of "fun time" and were being told by these kids that it was all very normal.

I pitched a bit of a fit and told them this was not acceptable. We have rented from Paradise on numerous occasions and this was not how the boats have operated in the past .

We have also rented on Lake Chatuge where the boats are much newer and you get a 150Hp instead of 115Hp for the same boat size.

They finally relented and found us another boat. I expect it's the boat they only use in emergencies because one corner fender was missing, the speedometer didn't work and all in all, it was a piece...

I re-signed all the damage waivers and got out on the water. No sooner did we get out of the no-wake zone than I noticed the gas gauge had us at 3/4 of a tank of gas. Then, the kids got on the tube and we discovered our top speed, as measured by WAZE because remember, no speedometer, was 13MPH. I can run that fast. Not for long, but I can.

This engine was so anemic, I couldn't get a single tuber out from behind our wake much less get any kind of slingshot going in a turn.

The ladder was held up by a frayed-through piece of rope that broke the first time we tried to tie it up.

Recognizing that there was probably not going to be another boat for us, we kept this piece and made a day of it. We were to later discover there was also no anchor in the boat. So much for peacefully anchoring off and enjoying lunch.

When we returned the boat and I explained all the issues with the second boat, regarding the gas gauge, I was told, "Yeah, some of the boat's gas gauges show 3/4 full when it really IS full."

How convenient. So, you get to charge me for a quarter of a tank of gas but I don't really get to confirm whether or not it was full when I left.

Luckily, the kids were good sports about the whole thing. I was not.

Icing on the cake: the license decal on the boat expired January 2022 (we rented in July). As I left the lake, I counted three other boats with people boarding, that had expired decals. One was Dec. 2021!

Again, they have comp'd me the day (gas excluded) but my feeling is that if you don't call out businesses on poor experiences, they can hide them and keep on doing the same thing.

So, Thank You for the comp, but it was honestly the right thing to do given our experience.

My husband, 3 twenty something sons and youngest son’s girlfriend are in the area celebrating our 30th anniversary. We decided to rent a pontoon boat for the afternoon. First I called to rent the boat and spoke to a very nice and helpful man named Christian. We were worried we would get rained out, but managed to get 3 of the 4 hours before the rain moved in. The boat was clean and comfortable. We rented a tube and had fun with that. I had left my prescription sunglasses in the store before we left the dock, and called and spoke to Christian once again. He found them and put them up for me to pick up when we left. All the staff were friendly.
