We enjoyed a pleasant, open-air cruise into the northern PGI canals to check out the lighting displays.

Our captains provided a safe and entertaining ride on the "Caloosa Queen," a covered pontoon boat.

Highly recommend this charter company as it is smaller and more personable than the big boats that do the identical tour out of Fishville.

We will definitely be back.

Had a great time on the Peace River. Many alligator sightings, turtles and birds too. Thankfully no snakes 😬. Our guide John was knowledgeable and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure we had good photos and even went into the water to get my friend’s overboard water bottle:)

We visited during Labor Day weekend, and did the horseback riding as well as the airboat tour.
For the horseback ride, we had Ashley as the guide. Getting on/off the horse was easier than expected, and the ride was leisurely. Got to see some longhorn cattle along the way, but rather quiet ride for the most part. Ashley took pictures for us at the end of the ride.
For the airboat ride, Mike was great - he was determined for us to see an alligator, and kept going until we saw one. Also saw some manatees in one area. He made the trip exciting for the little boys that were on the boat by doing a few quick turns, and stopped to take family photos for all on board. It was nice to have the breezy airboat ride after the hot horseback ride.
There are picnic tables if you want to bring your lunch, as well as a little store where you can purchase drinks, snacks and souvenirs. There is also a small playground for the kids. On the short drive from the main office to the horse/airboat area, you'll get to see chickens, ducks and goats, and a few resident alligators and turtles are housed at the main office.
Fun day and definitely worth the day trip!

Review is for the Swamp buggy ride at their second location which is 17 minutes north of Nav-A-gator Grill in Arcadia. From this location they also offer airboat rides and horseback riding. Unfortunately we chose the Swamp buggy ride which was 23 minutes long of which 10 minutes was parked at a pasture looking at/feeding cows and bulls. for $39 do not recommend, the entire loop was likely 3/4 of a mile.

I paid for my son and daughter in law for a one hour air boat ride. They showed up 40 minutes early which was 20 minutes earlier then required. They left the dock almost 15 minutes late and returned almost 5 minutes early. The party they were paired up showed up late. I spoke to Jennifer in the office asking what they planned to do about the shortened trip and was told I would receive a phone call later in the day from the owner. Have not received a call. My wife and I were thinking about bringing others to ride the air boats but now I don’t see how we should support a business that does not resolve issues. I’m about ready to refute the charges with my credit card company.

We visited here in February. We had never been on an airboat before, and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. They provide ear protection because it is VERY loud. Our guide, Jonny, was great, answered our questions and was very knowledgeable about the area. We saw plenty of alligators and other wildlife. They have a place to hold baby alligators, but we didn’t do that. It’s not something we’d do every trip, but definitely worth a visit.

Simply marvelous idea touring the canal side homes which have decorated with lights. Captain Fran and Elf Evan were excellent hosts as we were chauffeured under the Rt41 bridge in a cabana type party vessel to the Peace River canals. In the canals we were thrilled at the incredibly complex and joyous expressions of the Christmas season decorations . These included elaborate lighting displays including Santa chilling out while Mrs. Claus hung his laundry. One special setting inside a home included the Leg Lamp won by the father in the Christmas Story. Clever!! Also Mick Mouse in the manger at one Nativity scene . HoHoHo! Awesome seasonal, reasonably priced, uplifting experience not to be overlooked.

Took the airboat ride. Total tour time advertised was 1 hour. We were on the river for about 15 minutes when our captain parked on land and preceded to chat with us - for the next 25-30 minutes! A few minutes would have been cool, but we were parked far too long. Wanted to see more of the river, vegetatation, and wildlife. This business gets great reviews, and that's because it's a unique, very Florida experience. But nonetheless, it is overpriced for the amount of the river you get to see. Don't know if they have competitors or not, bit it would be worth checking into.

My husband and I took our 13 year old granddaughter and 10 year old grandson. Saw LOTS of gators, birds and turtles and they both liked it. Held an alligator in the gift shop. Ride is on a river and we loved it. Just the right amount of time! We went in late March on a hot day (90) at 3:30. Don’t miss the pond on the side with the big gator and the tortoise nearby!

We had a great tour with Leo who was funny, great at spotting many alligators and told us a bit about the area and alligators habits. The lady working at the front desk was fabulous as well. She was very nice and took a lot of time at the end of our tour which was also at closing time to let us hold a small gator and told us to visit the small petting area on our way out. It was our 3 time going on the Peace River Charter as we are seasonal residents in Punta Gorda but this time we brought along our teenage granddaughter (17) and our oldest son. They really enjoyed it as do all of our guests. We would highly recommend this company and in particular this location.
