We camped 4 nights here in site #6, April 2022. As we had surmised from an earlier review this site was slightly unlevel so luckily we packed our leveling blocks for one wheel of our 19ft. TT. The campground loop is small and somewhat tight. Our site was shaded most of the day, bathrooms clean and adequate. Wish the area across from the park's improvements were finished so there was more to do nearby but we rode bikes around the park and overall enjoyed it. Mosquitoes were surprisingly bad for April and we had daily visits from the resident peacocks who were noisy at dusk but overall fine until the day we left. They mainly hang out near the entrance/ dump station area and a couple could see their reflections in our truck and had to be shooed away many times so we could leave! ha

Our family has been spending Easter day at the park since 1960 or 61. It was always a great time to visit, eat (tables and tables of food), egg hunt, throw eggs contest , baseball, bocce ball. Family from everywhere would come. Just great and wonderful memories made. It made me pick a date in the last year.

We stayed for 4 nights with our campervan at Magnolia Park campground.
Spacious and clean campsites with electricity, water and grill.
There are also basketball courts and playgrounds.
The sunsets on Lake Apopka are perfect.

If you like to be "birdy" while walking for free along the Epopka loop trail here goes a good suggestion, and is free: Magnolia Park. You also can ride a bike. While you walk you can take pictures of alligators, turtles, rabits and, of course, birds. There is a map in the Park which shows all animals you can find there, including bobcats. Unfortunately I did not see one, but I will share my pictures with you. You can reach the old water pumping house in 4 miles.

Magnolia Park isn't very big compared to others but, as another reviewer stated: has it all. We were there yesterday on Easter Sunday and surprised to see maintenance and office staff at work. The grounds are impeccably clean, the park is laid out to allow lots of green open space between picnic tables & grills (plenty of room for children to run & play, frrisbee throwing, etc), playground for children, parking is adequate and tucked in nicely to avoid that ugly parking-lot look, the restrooms are clean, there is also an area set off for camping. The park is on both sides of Binion Rd - the smaller part and boat launch are on the lake sidewhie the camping and picnic areas are across the street. There's also nature path for bicycles and foot traffic. We were surprised to learn of a Nature Tour that you drive through - the tour takes about an hour. At the office, there are map-brochures explaining how to find the start of the drive tour (north on Binion Rd to Lust Dr, go left) with color photos of the different birds you will see. On your cell phone, you can visit a website to hear an audio tour explaining the history of Lake Apopka and what is being done to revitalize the lake, and providing habitat for wildlife. The drive tour is free and you WILL see plenty of alligators and other wildlife.

Very well maintained. Suitable for the whole family, especially children. It has several areas such as exercises, spending a family day, cooking, and above all, a lot of vigilance.

This place is literally a Boy Scout's dream. I should know. I am one. Seriously, this place is cool. Simple campgrounds, fun experiences, giant lake, 3 playgrounds, and peacocks ALL OVER THE PLACE. Seriously... a trip here is amazing. We (me and my boy scout troop) have gone to this place over and over again. And hey! It's cheap, too! Win-win.

Went here for sunset photographs on a chilly and windy day. We were pleased with the photos. There was a large parking lot with easy access to the lake shore.
