I really enjoyed this place. First off, it's free! The staff were all helpful and very friendly. It was obvious that they loved their manatees. It is well organised and quite big, so if there is a crowd you can find a spot that isn't...More

Went here the day after Thanksgiving. It was more crowded than usual, but we were still able to find a parking space and enjoy our time. The air temperature was unseasonably warm, so no manatees to see this time around, but we did see some...More

Thank-you to the Electric Company (TECO) for providing this attraction to the public! Your staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyable to see the marine life but more enjoyable to watch the young children with their wide-eyed wonderment and mouths dropped in awe!

Well organized, free viewing center. We saw manatees, spinner shark, Jack Crevals, mullets, snook, spotted manta ray and stingray. There are also a few trails to walk through mangrove forests - we will definitely visit again!

There is a education center to learn more about manatees, but also a large observation deck to watch them. Open only in winter and spring but worth a visit. While you are down there, check out Circles for lunch or dinner!

What a cool way to see manatees in the wild...and no admission. Definitely visit the website to learn the history of how the viewing area came to be...pretty near serendipitous story. There are several overlooks...we went on the one to the right of the building...More

We stopped by this hidden gem on our way back from Siesta beach and was not disappointed we got to see several manatee and sharks. But the cutest thing was when a manatee started spinning in the water. Only wish they would have came closer...More

Sorry to say that I and my wife were very disappointed. Saw no manatees. Lots of yellow fin tuna. Did have two spotted manta rays swim through. The peers were very crowded making the view difficult. Water is very silt filled with visibility of 2...More

We are not supposed to feed the manatees at the viewing center anything! There are signs posted reminding visitors not to feed the animals there.
