Was excited to go here and not at all disappointed. It was extremely busy when we attended but the car park attendants did a phenomenal job. I can not believe you do not have to pay so made a generous donation for all the outstanding work that is done here. Great viewing area and saw additional wildlife as in a shark just happily swimming around not bothering the manatee. Will visit again if around at this time of year.

A cold day in Tampa made the beaches not very appealing, but the colder than usual water in Tampa Bay brought scores of Manatees to the warmth of the electric plant's water output. The animals came very near the viewing area. The docent was very knowlegeable and helpful in pointing out the different types of fish. There was also a ray-petting pool for hands-on experience. This is also free!

My husband and I were on vacation and new to area. Asked a local and they said to go to the 'electric company' and that is where the manatee's are. We thought this was a joke at first, but we went to scope out and boy were we surprised! This is a super nice manatee reserve, with a lovely viewing area/deck. We saw tons of manatees! They also have a nice bridge/walkway that we got to see baby sharks, a ray, tons of fish, it was fun!!! The place was free as well, so that was amazing. Highly recommend people go!

We had a little extra walk but its because they are expanding and building on the property. By next year it will be even better. Great trails, wonderful volunteers.... Good spot to see manatee....

Because I had a dog with me I wasn't allowed in. A security officer offered to put my dog in his car while I walked out on the pier. Loved it. I only saw 2 manatee from afar but the number of large fish below the pier was great. Also a few animals to watch for. Would visit again.
