My favorite beach so far

Absolutely beautiful beach. Clear clean water. We found ridiculous amounts of shells here too. Just be cautious about the current especially with children it can be quite strong.

My wife and I ran around the island and this included Bean Point. Bean Point has some nice palm trees and then it opens up to a beautiful white sand beach. The view is great across Tampa Bay and the gulf. The water is clear and emerald color.

This is where to go to shell! 50 feet or so to the east of the point there are literally piles of shells. They are in 2-6 feet of water off shore. There is a small area about 50 yds square the. The shells stop. We filled a large bucket each day. Old conch shells and lots of unbroken large... More

Spent a morning up at Bean Point and it is well worth a visit. We looked up other Tripadvisor's reviews and their recommendation on parking and walked across (there are plenty of access point). The beach itself is stunning with white sands and the water is crystal clear...absolutely idyllic. We went sharp in the morning and left around lunchtime when... More

A lovely part of the island. Have dinner at Rod and Reel then make your way to Bean Point with your lawn chairs.

This beach is an awesome place to swim, look for shells or just take in the sunset. it's also a perfect spot for birdwatching and realxing. The sand is white, soft and lovely to walk on, and the water is really warm.

We (myself, husband and 2 college age sons) were vacationing in Indian Shores and drove to Bean Point. It was slightly an hour drive. The only thing I regret is that we didn't plan on it being so beautiful so we left our water in the car. Next time we spend more time and pack an umbrella and cooler. My... More

Water is so clean! In general, the beach is very clean and it's not crowded. We watched the sunset and took a million pictures! One of the best beaches I've been in Florida! Worth visiting!

Great place to walk on the beach. Bean Point is kind of where the Gulf meets the Tampa Bay. Great place to find shells and see sea turtles nesting. You can watch dolphins swim fairly close to the beach. Well worth walking here everyday that you are on the northern part of the island.
