Amazing place to go with family or just as a couple, it's not very crowded either. The manatees were all over the place it was absolutely beautiful, and let me just tell you about the sunsets there. I never wanted to leave.Returning for my wedding in April 2017!

Read a lot of reviews and information on Bean Point so we had it on our "must do " list and it was a total bust. Not sure what the big deal is. Beach was dirty, didn't compare at all to Bradenton or coquina. Parking was a pain.

Seems like you are on the moon. Seems most times no one is here and it's the widest beach on the island. The sand is compact in some areas and soft and piled up closer inland. You can see the sky view bridge from the eastern side and souther st. Petersburg. Loved it

Not sure I really want to review Bean Point as I would like to keep it a secret - but it's such a natural unspoilt stretch of beautiful white powder sand beach it would be a shame not to share it! We picked a pretty windy (and cool) day for our visit - in fact it is often windy on... More

I like that it is quieter (and windier) than the beaches to the south, not extraordinary as in worth a detour, but still enjoyable for those who like to explore beaches and beachcombing. Someone told us you can see the coming together of two bodies of water. We didn't or couldn't see the contrast in color as described or identify... More

This is the best beach on AMI as its in its natural setting with dunes of soft white sand where the bay joins the ocean. I've visited up and down the coast and this is the best beach by far even better than Siesta Key as you don't have any built up sky scrapers/condos. Ospreys, pelicans, and many sea birds are... I would not recommend for swimming, but a very neat place to visit, walk the beach and checkout the freighters in the bay. The rip current is very strong here and notices are up about swimming @ your own risk. We did see a pair of dolphins swimming and a freighter going under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

There are several access points. It's a short walk through sand dunes to reach the beach. The view is magnificent.

Bean point is one of our favorite beaches in the Country. The sand and water are as good as it gets. Wide open space. Down side is parking can be hard to find and it's a hike from the street walking over sand to get close to the water. Not a great choice if you have to carry a bunch... More
