We took our kids out here after dinner a couple nights to play on the super soft sand (softer than near our condo). It's a beautiful area to play, find shells, and walk around - not a place for swimming due to waves and rip tides. Finally found a sand dollar here! Be prepared to park several streets away and... First of all, there is no sign giving you directions to Bean Point! We drove around trying to find it until we asked a shop owner and managed to find it. I only wish I had found this expansive beach 4 days earlier! Most think its a private beach, but its public. There were very little people on the beach.... More

Beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. Saw Dolphins, manatee, starfish, stingray and many different birds and fish. Great for shelling and swimming. A strong current so may not be best for small children. Definitely a highlight of our time on Anna Maria Island.

This place is absolutely stunning. We had our family photos taken here, but couldn't get away from the sanflies. Even with bug spray on, we were being eaten alive. I personally counted 113 bites and didn't sleep for 2 nights.

I was raised going back and forth to this beach and named my youngest daughter after it. (AnnMarie) I love that it offers covered pavilions for grilling out and that it's in close proximity to the playground and bathrooms. It's a beautiful place to take children or to spend some alone time relaxing. Nowadays it does seem alot busier earlier... More

This place is breathtakingly beautiful, but our time was limited because the bugs were biting and relentless. We went during the evening one day and during the afternoon another. I got some good pictures but could not stay long.

I wouldn't recommend for small children. Rip currents can be bad, and no public restrooms, however I would recommend for sunsets and shell hunting!

We Really enjoyed our visit to Bean Point, though I have to say the the beach in front of our condo in Holmes beach was much nicer as far as sand softness and quality. The view from Bean Point was amazing and we saw a small pod of dolphins while there. Parking was tricky and we had to park a... More

Love Bean Point! Sunsets are amazing. Beach is large, white sand & shelling is fun every time. You can walk from Bean Point to the Sand Bar Restaurant or to the Rod & Reel. Public parking along streets but make sure you look for signs, tires off pavement & face the direction of traffic.
