Great place to walk
Apr 2019
This is a well planned city park where you can walk for a half hour or more and see many birds. They also have informative placques placed around the park and benches for people to sit down. You park in a lot and are taken to the park in an open conveyance, which can be fun for kids.

Nice boardwalk
Aug 2019 • Couples
Long walk to park from parking area across street. They do have a shuttle but there is no way to know for sure what time it runs. We waited 30 minutes and gave up. Boardwalk is nice. Hardly any wildlife when we were there... too hot. Mostly shaded boardwalks. Lots of water views.

Great place
Aug 2019 • Family
I’ve been hiking here with my daughter since she was 3. Nice easy hike. Used to be a few owls at the start up in the trees. Always see a gator and snakes.

An excellent 150 acre park for hiking, bird watching picnics and fishing. The park features wetlands & woods, plus a boardwalk, a pavilion & playgrounds. Open Thursday-Sunday

Relax and enjoy
Jan 2019 • Family
Your close to everything but would not know it. The park has a boardwalk trail over the lake. Lots of wildlife. When the weather is right, you can relax and enjoy the sunsets and sky.

Long boardwalks, gentle running water, fishing for those that like it. Friendly Forest rangers that are very helpful.

Great local fishing spot
Jun 2017 • Family
The kids (ages 8, 10), love to go fishing here. It's a very chill spot and it's easy to fish off of the docks. That way you're not pulling their lines from the reeds every 5 minutes. Nice walking trails all over the place. Great place for a visit if you want a local FREE spot to walk and fish. Good times!

Really nice local nature preserve
Sep 2017 • Family
What a find! On weekends, cars cannot enter the park, but there is plenty of free parking across 414, and they run a shuttle. There are several miles of walking trails, some mulched, some boardwalks. We had no idea how big it was from the road.

The walks are easy for kids, and we enjoyed identifying birds and turtles. There is a fishing area, too. And while we didn't see any alligators, we heard them.
