Close and fun

Fun for a picnic with group seating areas, boating is also a mist, or riding your bike. There is also a swim beach for the kids.

Biking through the reservoir was great. My friend got a flat tire, and we asked a ranger for a ride back to our car. No problem!

You can hike, bike and roller blade through the many trails surrounding the reservoir. The grassy area is pretty dry now but spring, fall and winter you can spot all sorts of wildlife from pelicans and eagles - to coyotes and deer. It's a good spot to get away from the traffic!

the park has an off-leash area for dogs where they can run around, play with other dogs, play in the creek, just an outstanding area for dogs to be DOGS! also, there are camping areas, picnic areas, shooting, horseback riding, boating, just an over-abundance of activities

I love going to this park. It's hard to believe that it is situated in the middle of metro Denver. The campsites are clean and well-kept. They also have a place for group camping which is nice. The reservoir is good for boating and other water sports but sometimes in spoiled by the e-coli runoff.

If you are not looking to swim this is a great park. But the swimming is HORRIBLE. I live 5 minutes from here and will not take the kids swimming here. The water is polluted with motor oil, you can SEE it on the water surface. Their so called beach area is full of droppings from the massive about of... More

This place is awesome and located right in Aurora. It is like a state park in a city! There are hiking trails, a swim beach, a place to boat - jet ski- or kayak - places to have lunch, walk your dog and you get all this (a whole car load) for $9! We only spent 3 hours there, but... More

What an adventure. I am not from a city and have always enjoyed boating and kayaking in remote areas. I am here on business for a few months and brought my kayak. I got there early to beat the rush and as expected, it was fairly quiet until about 10 am at which time the place started erupting with life... More

One of the BEST dog parks in the metro area.. Great place to run and power walk.. Your dogs will enjoy the freedom to run free.. Nice cool steam along the path, get there early when it's cool.. Weekends and holidays get busy.. Make sure you buy your yearly dog pass and park pass..

Beautiful woodsy walk even on a hot summer day. You can even run into a deer on the tree-shaded path. The trails are well maintained.
